    I purchased my home in 2023, and my mortgage before ** ********************** took over the loan was $1,986(which I was able to afford). 2025 I received a email stating my February payment will be $2,633, my wife and I were shocked. I contacted ** ********************** and ask to explain why my loan jumped $700, and I was told to reach out to the county because of taxes. I did as requested, but was told in fact it had nothing to do with them but ** ********************** miss calculation is the reason why ny loan jumped so high. I was never informed of this high jump in loan nor was told it would even change, but with the economy as it is my family will be priced out of our home. We never had a late payment or missed payment only to get hit with a drastic increase on a allegedly fixed rate has left us with a sour taste every time the name ** ********************** comes up. In 2 years we had 3 banks take over the loan on our home, Lenar, ***************, and ** **********************...and by far ** ********************** is the worst!

    This "mortgage company" is horrible, they're absolute crooks. They won't communicate, there's no one you can talk to, and I'm pretty sure they screwed up my escrow because I paid exactly what I was supposed to over the past year and now -surprise- I have a HUGE shortage even though neither my taxes nor my insurance increased! And now my payment will be $200 more a month! Are they siphoning off my escrow money for something else? Escrow is REQUIRED yet I can't trust them with it because the money I paid in apparently isn't THERE when it's time to pay the taxes and insurance! There's no communication, the site is over-simplified as if they think mortgage-holders are idiots, and this has just been a really bad experience. My mortgage was with a company I really liked and they sold it to Mr ********************** and it's just been really bad since then. If you can help it, don't do business with Mr **********************.

    I was transferred and the automated system makes almost impossible for you speak with a representative. I made set up an automatic payment, they took it, and I am getting automated calls saying I didnt make the payment. It is showing on my account with them and my bank account

    Terribly incompetent. My mortgage was sold to them, payment dropped by almost $300 so I reached out to them and their representative told me there was nothing to worry about and that the taxes and insurance was being pulled in escrow.. if I hadn't broken that phone I would share the screenshots. Fast forward a year, I get an email with a cute video explaining escrow and then tell me I owe them $3k... lol this seems like a company that wants to see someone default on their loan so they can capitalize on it.

    I would give 0 stars if I could. My mortgage company sold to them and literally the next month I sold my house and paid off my mortgage. They reported me as 30 plus days past due to all the credit bureaus after paying off my mortgage. When I was FINALLY able to get a hold of a live person the *** **** up on me. This company is a joke!

    Horrible experience. They are collecting escrow from us every month but will not pay the tax bill. They do not respond to messages and are incompetent when you call the 800 number.

    Worst lender ever. I have been dealing with them since November to fix my property taxes, not only affecting my credit but not seeing a willingness to assist customers and resolve issues. Stay away from this lender

    No single person on a phone for specific question. Automated system is circling me back to main menu. Tried all options and wasted all options and still nothing. Horrible service with primitive chat only.

    Very impersonable, very hard to talk to anyone but a programmed response system. When you have serious issues that need to be rectified that's the last thing you should want to address about your immediate mortgage problems.There also seems to be a problem with accounting, in that on hand your given a mortgage amount to pay initially and out of nowhere you're being told that you need to pay an exorbitant amount because they claim you were late with your payments, inspite of the fact that you weren't!! There seems to be utter confusion with this establishment.

    I am so disappointed in Mr. Cooper. I have had such a good relationship with them for the past three and a half years until January 2025. I was in process of getting a loan modification that they had apparently approved. They decided not to approve it after I had made four trial period payments. The reason: a *** for the company said that one of the TWO payments that were taken from my bank in NOVEMBER caused the bank to only pay my regular mortgage amount rather than the slightly higher trial period amount (a difference of $44.27). I did not authorize for Mr. Cooper to take the regular mortgage payment out of my bank. I submitted the third trial payment on Nov. 28 and apparently Mr. Cooper attempted to get an additional payment of $1496.02, which caused a disc***ancy. (I am still working with **** to discover if the bank paid $1496.02 or $1540.29). I was in constant communication with Mr. Cooper, especially after finding out that two payments were attempted, rather than the one that I authorized. I was told ***eatedly that my loan modification was in good status and that I would not need to make a payment in January '25, that I would resume my regular mortgage payments in Feb. '25. On Dec. 30 I made my fourth trial period payment. On Dec. 30 I was told my loan modification app was approved. On the first week of January, I was informed that due to a lack of $44.27 back in November, my loan modification application was denied. I have been on the phone with ***** from Mr. Cooper the entire month of Jan. '25. While he has been empathetic and supportive, very knowledgeable, he has been unable to stop the denial of my application from happening. I am retaining an attorney to find out how/why this is happening.
