After 2 times of coming to my home, the garage broke within 2 weeks. After collecting our money, they refused to come out without a 375$ payment. I then took off of work, only for the company to tell me they misscheduled and wouldnt be able to come back out for 5 days and would not reimburse us for the broken garage.Review from Glen R

They are the cheapest bidder for all the home builders. Had a door bind and bend the top two panels. They came out and "inspected" and deemed the failure was due to foam insulation applied to the door. Guess their technician adjusting the binding door didnt have anything to do with the doors bending. Denied warranty claim. Joke of customer service. Had a 4 hour window for them to come out and called after the 4 hour window to say they would be late. You truly get what you pay for.Review from Travis B.

I called Garage Door Services today due to a broken spring. My cars were. Trapped inside my garage. I chose Garage Door Services because they originally installed the door when my home was built. I felt they were best suited to make the repair since they installed the door and I had no history with door failures. The technician arrived and assessed my situation. He told me I needed 4 new springs. He said it is recomendeed to replace all the springs after one fails. He also gave me a price of $600/spring and I assumed that included labor. I thought the price was high but I agreed, He later recomended replacing the cables due to fraying. I also agreed after negotiating a price down to $160. I questioned him on the cost but he would not move on price. The final **** came to $3,170 and took two hours. The cost included $750 for labor. After he left I looked into what this should have cost and determined I paid twice as much as I should have. I feel like I was naive and apparently put too much trust in a service provider who took advantage of me.

I have spoken to the homeowner and informed him that we were not the company he hired and researched with the information he provided me and determined he was scammed by a company pretending to be us. I have given him some information pertaining to the company and forwarded him a new article on the subject.Customer Response

I have spoken with Garage Door Services of Houston and they are in no way responsible for the issue I reported. It was my mistake in reporting them. I am in contact with the company that overcharged me.
