    On May 23, 2022 ****** ***** dba A-1 Glass came to my home to give me a quote for a broken glass patio door. He was here about 15 to 20 minutes looking at the door, taking measurements and getting a small piece of glass to measure the thickness of the glass. He gave me a quote of $649.50 to replace and install the glass patio door. He asked for a $300.00 deposit which I gave him that day. On Friday June 3, 2022 he called in the am and said glass was in and he would be here in 30 minutes. I phoned to let my husband know and surprisingly my husband left work to be here with me while ****** ***** installed new glass in door and was to put it back as it was. Mr. ***** came alone- no helper! I thought odd considering the size and weight of the door. My husband was able to help some but my husband is an Auditor not a glass repair man. I was in back of house with my blind, barking dog. Approximately an hour later husband came to say get your money ready Mr. ***** is almost done and my husband said he had to return to his office. I gave $349.00 cash to my husband to give to Mr. ****** My husband did so and left. ******** left as well. I went to back door and it was NOT installed correctly and would not close! I looked out front window and saw Mr. ***** was gone so I phoned him immediately and told him the door would not close. He was angry but said he would come back. He did come right back but said since "live in a old home, with a 75 year old door it was not his fault". I told him he could not leave it that way and he said "the rollers on bottom need to be replaced and he was not doing anymore work for free"! Well at this point I had paid him $649.00 in cash! He was NOT working for free! He set the estimate, not me! Upon further observation , my husband and I believe he ordered the wrong thickness of glass! How he left our home puts us in danger!
