On 8/11/2022, 1775 Fence & Stain was putting up a new back fence for my neighbor. My driveway is parallel to the fence and only about 20 feet away. When staining the fence, the crew took no precautions to limit overspray. They didnt warn me they were going to be spraying stain or ask me to move my cars. As a result, both of my cars were covered in wood stain. Only after confronting them and telling them they were getting stain all over my cars did they ask me to move them so they could finish. I did so, but the damage was already done. I had to hang my head outside the drivers side window because I couldnt see through the windshields.Three days later, my neighbor came over while a crew Id hired was removing the stain from my cars. He told me hed spoke with the owner of the company, ******, who had agreed to reimburse me the cost the detailing. He called ******, we all spoke, I told him it was costing me $500 to have the cars detailed. He agreed to cover it and told me to send him a Venmo request. I did so, but he didnt pay. I let a little time go by and sent a reminder. He didnt pay.A few weeks later I canceled the request and sent a new one. ****** declined it. I texted him asking why he declined after agreeing to reimburse me for the damages. He told me to send him the invoice because he needed it for tax purposes. I sent him the receipt from the detailing company. He didnt pay.Several weeks later I sent ****** another text, reminding him Id given him what he requested, and asking him to make things right as hed agreed. He didnt pay.A few weeks later I sent ****** another text, telling him I was done being patient, but that I would take payment in installments. I got a text back claiming that ****** had died. I found no obituaries to support the claim and Ive seen new ****** reviews since then with responses by owner. The company appears to still be active and thus still owes me for the damages, regardless of whether or not ****** is actually dead.

We asked for an estimate from them after our backyard neighbor decided to move forward with them. They then proceeded to rip down half our fence without an approved estimate, saying we approved the estimate in a text conversation with them (we never did). They then went ahead and approved our estimate without us being able to review what was approved. In the end, the fencing looked all right, but when we looked closer, we noticed a lot of missed details. There was a 1"+ gap at each of our gates. Concrete was spilled on our brick patio and no one came to fix it. They didn't fully clean up the yard. We tried to talk to their team, who then became upset with us when we asked them to fix the fence. They sped off angrily down our 25mph neighborhood street. We then had numerous issues with trying to pay them. We offered a check for full payment on the day the fence was finished (we could not put a deposit down because we never electronically approved the estimate). Their employee refused to take the check that day. We tried resolving this payment with *****. They refused to send a Zelle request so we could send payment. We told them numerous times we didn't want to incur a credit card fee, especially when they had the ability to take a check from us that day. They then proceeded to chase us down for weeks, threatening to charge us 1.5% interest on a missed payment. These terms are listed nowhere in their invoice. The owner also was in the hospital during this time, but never had someone else contact us for payment during his stay. He told us via text that we would "settle the matter later." Once he was out of the hospital, he texted us again, threatening to put a lien on us.Today, the owner of the company showed up at our house, threatening us by text and telling us "Come outside I'm not going to be playing games with you" amongst other profanities and threats to call the police for theft of services. We finally were able to hand deliver a check to him today.
