I joined the hot works ******** Texas location prior to it even being open I only attended a few times maybe 3 my grandbaby was born and had to be hospitalized in******** Texas I called and spoke with the person and told them that I needed to cancel my membership actually I put it on hold at 1st at $9 a month then I called and said I needed to cancel it because I was going back-and-forth to******** I gave them my situation they stated normally they need written cancelation however under the circumstances they will go ahead and take my cancelation requests over the phone Then about 4 months later they charged me 5 × for months at my That my account was canceled I went up there spoke to one of the ladies she called the manager and spoke with the manager and basically stated it was a system glitch and they didn't show some sort of notes but they were gonna go ahead and allow me to go through my bank to dispute the charges because their system had no way of refunding me she spoke to my bank while I was there and let them know that it was a system glitch they don't know why they just charge me all at once for all those months it was suggested I dispute it through my bank because their system had no way if processing the refund. I disputed it through my bank and then hatworks stated I didn't cancel within 45 days and stated the charges were valid which is incorrect because of the circumstances and hotworx Allowing me to cancel due to me being in******** and I hadn't been there. Because of documents that hotworx sent in my bank denied my claim. I don't know who sent the documents or if they are aware of the conversation that was had however I would like to have my money refunded if I need to go back through my bank to do it that's fine but I will need something in writing from hotworx saying that I should not have been charged for those months I believe is 5 charges of $53.04 totalling $265.20. This has caused my account to be overdrawn.
