Hello on January 19of 2024 I was sold a used car by Texas Select Auto. They told me of no problems with the car and I bought it cash for 3,500$.And I noticed after I drove it a few day it would rough idle and die on me.So I took it back to see what they could do and basically said a deal is a deal.So I took it to an auto mechanic shop and they said it was the transmission and steering pump and its gonna be thousands more to fix.But supposedly it was a good car.

    Greetings,

Customer purchased a used automobile - we allow ample time to test drive and have the vehicle checked by a mechanic of the **************** prior to the sale as the vehicle in question does not have any factory warranty.

    thanks,

    TSA team

08' Altima purchased on 4/14/22 for $5495 TTL & fees included. Vehicle picked up on Fri. 4/15, after inspection, on 4/16 I noticed that the tire pressure & check service engine symbols were on. Neither was on when I test drove the car on 4/14. I had diagnosis ran on 4/18 to see about service engine symbol & was advised that there was an issue with the catalytic converter. I called the owner on 4/18 to advise of the findings he stated that it could be from the car sitting and to drive around for 30 days and if the problem persists call him back. 2 weeks later on Tues. 5/3 the car didn't start, I reached back out to the owner and he advised to bring the car back so that his mechanic could take a look. I dropped the car off on 5/5 asked for updates the next 2 days. Owner responded back on 5/9 advising there was an oil leak and that he had fixed & that I could pick up the car. Fast forward 3 days later to 5/12 again the car did not start up. I reached back out to the owner and he advised me to let him know once the title came in and to bring the car back to the lot to have the mechanic take a look and if there was a major issue to see about swapping the car out with another on the lot. Title came in 5/31 the owner directed me to contact his brother to coordinate. On 6/2 the brother stated they didn't have a mechanic and towing it back to the lot would be expensive and he was going to see about locating a mobile mechanic to come to my residence. I followed up with him on 6/3 & 4 as I didn't hear back from either brother, continued texting for an update on 6/6 & 7th. Brother came to residence on 6/14 was able to start car however noticed oil looked bad. He was to provide an address for garage in Arlington, never happened. I took vehicle to repair shop and was advised on 6/24 of head gasket blown, new motor needed. Informed both brothers of defect, I want refund as I believe the car was never vetted prior to putting on market too sell and I was sold a lemon.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/08/03) */ Customer purchased vehicle in great running condition. A few months after the purchase, customer calls us to let us know vehicle isn't starting. As a service to our customer, we checked the vehicle and found that the vehicle appears to have been driven with low coolant for an extended time which may have caused the issue above. We recommended mechanic shops where she can have it repaired. We at Texas Select Autos are committed to providing our customers with quality used vehicles but that also requires the customer to keep up with the maintenance and potential repairs in order to keep the vehicle running in best condition. Good luck,

On March 2, 2022 I was sold a 2010 ************* for 7000. It broke down in a week. I asked for my money back. They said they can only put me in another vehicle because they couldn't fix the issue. I was given a 2011 ************ that had a check engine light. I was told by a repair shop that it had transmission issue. The car dealership said not to worry we will give you a warranty with it and you can get the transmission fixed they also had ne pay an extra $500 because the ***** was a more expensive car. Long story short the warranty did not cover the transmission. I was told to bring that car car back and they would yet again go to the auction to find me some of equal value. $7200. This last time on April 4th they said we found a car for you. 2008 ***** Tribute. I was like this is an older model car and not worth 7200. As usual they did no repairs/ didnt even look st it and said take it or leave it. Took it to ***** for a diagnostic and it needs over 6,000 in repairs. Someone please help me. ***** said the car is only worth 2,000 dollars.
