    We are submitting this review about the packing and moving of our belongings by North Texas Van Lines. The final packing for the move occurred on July 2, 2023, and the move took two days, July 3 and 4, 2023, to complete. Anyone looking to contract a moving company should not hire this company under any circumstances. They did not provide what we agreed on, and we were substantially overcharged for a extremely unsatisfactory move.1. The packing, which took place on July 2, was unprofessional and very poorly done. The inexperience of the workers was obvious. No type of system for cataloguing and labeling the contents of the boxes was used so we can only "guess" what contained in each box. 2.The disregard for the way our expensive furniture was prepared for moving was a signal to us that this company had no idea what they were doing. Many items were damaged in the move because they were not properly packed for transport in the one truck. Pictures were taken of some of the items that were damaged, but there may be much more damage in the storage units where everything was deposited. 3.The quote for the move given by a representative from the company was less than $3,600.00. We were charged over $6,000! This quote given by the representative from the company who visited our home stated that the move would be carried out by five men using two trucks and completion would take one day. The move took two very long days and only one truck was used with only three men (not five). It was totally unacceptable, but it would have been impossible to change companies on the scheduled day of the move. 4.The recommendation is that this company is not worthy to be doing business in any way. They are unprofessional, inexperienced, and not capable of providing anything close to an acceptable service. Our hope is that they will be put out of business so no one else will undergo a terrible move like the one we experienced.

    I selected this company for three reasons in order of importance:1) they are woman-owned and I have spent my professional career advocating for and assisting women-owned businesses in the southwest and across the nation. I believe in women-owned businesses. 2) they were the only moving company of all that I sought quotes from who sent a person out to my house to assess the need before quoting a price. 3) they gave me a "not to exceed" price that was very competitive. My actual experience with the owner, ******, and with one of her managers, **, was deplorable. She did not deliver the equipment that she promised, including a trailer that was assessed as needed, picture boxes for delicate artwork, etc. ******** arrived an hour late (at 10:30 am) and didn't leave with all my belongings until 7:00 pm.****** arrived at 6:00 having finally got a trailer. She did not apologize for anything, blamed the moving crew who were nothing but gentlemen, and her only response to my complaints was "read your contract". A manager that was with her (**) shot me the finger and called me a curse word (B....) twice. He was very threatening.I will share this information with my network of women owned businesses, government entities, and major corporations. This is a business that no one should ever use.

    We used them to move in **** They bragged about their ability to package up our *** and the quality of their move. However, they broke the *** in the move. Packed canvas painting/pictures without protection and then laid heavy items against them stretching the canvas. They broke several items. Furniture corners, frame scratches, hanging mirror. When I asked about what to do about the things they broke the owner yelled at me about signing the final bill. I never refused to sign the final bill, I only had a question about the process of the claim. I filed the claim. I sent pictures. I heard NOTHING back after multiple e-mails. I have had to move a lot over the years and this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I get a few breaks or scratches but this was excessive and the packing was poor. Who lays furniture against canvases? I am not one to write bad review and try to give the benefit of the doubt, but they refused to respond and handle the claim! BEWARE! Replacing my broken items cost $9800. We are nice people. We tipped and fed the crews working. I write this review now, because they have 90 days to respond to a claim and could have corrected it. It is now over, and no response. They failed to correct or attempt to correct the damage done by the moving crews.

    We are sorry you sub stained damage during your move. We do not have a record of you moving in May of 2022 could it have been under another name or month?

    Our website crashed and all the emails with it, so we have no record of your claim either. It has been fixed so please send us a copy of your contract and your claim with pictures to ******@northtexasvanlines.net.

    Hello Ms. *****,

    I sent multiple e-mails to your account. Our contract was under the name, ***** ***** who was also CC'D on all emails. I forwarded them all to you again today. We moved from Little Elm, TX to Midland, TX. The payments were made under my name. You have the original contract which is a paper form from pick up and delivery. While I would like to believe the story about the website/emails being lost, surely that didn't happen multiple times. Most servers have back ups to a virtual account as well. Since your contracts are paper, you'd think you would have a paper trail on the contract as I spoke to you the day of delivery about a few initial damages immediately. I chose not to call you personally, as the two times I spoke to you on the phone when our items were picked up and dropped off you were very rude, demanding and threatening. Each encounter was appalling and not worth a phone call to check on the claim.
