    Floors for Living proved to be unreliable; they did not communicate effectively and failed to show up for a scheduled installation. Despite paying half of the installation fee upfront, which I was assured would initiate the process, I was later informed that the installation had been rescheduled without my consent to a date that conflicted with my schedule. The representative, Jason, then informed me that to schedule the installation, I would need to pay the remaining balance, which is contrary to the usual practice of paying the remainder upon job completion. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.

    I have used this place for several floors and have always had a great experience. The price has always been the lowest and I do my shopping around for the best deals. Best warranty, best price and install has never given me any issues. Highly recommend using them.

    I've worked with the Tomball store off Kuykendahl 3 times now, I have had nothing but great experiences on each visit. They are always very helpful, not pushy in any way. They just help me find what I'm looking for and the installers do what they advertise. Thanks, I'd recommend the to anyone that needs a floor.

    DO NOT BUY FROM THE FLOORS FOR LIVING STORE ON FM1488 in Magnolia! We bought carpet, pad and installation for two bedrooms and a large closet in April 2024. It was installed in May by amateurs that completely messed up both bedrooms leaving visible seams, leaving unrepaired cuts in the carpet and overstretching the carpet. Three months later we have now had three repair visits and each time they arrive with no carpet and each time the repair crew shakes their heads and say the carpet must be replaced. The company does not communicate with the customer (me) nor do they communicate with their own people. These are the most unprofessional bunch of louts you will ever meet. They offer fair pricing but you are unlikely to be happy with the result, from my experience.

    My apologies for the issues that we did have with the original installer, I am being told that we sent a new installer back on 9/06/2024 with new carpet and they were not le through the main gate to the neighborhood. Please let us know when you would like us to come back and resolve the issues.

    I needed to match the existing luxury vinyl the builder installed in my home. Floors for Living was able to find it quickly and purchase it. We had 3 bedrooms done with a great price! The installers were great and efficient!

    I highly recommend Floors for Living if you looking for laminate floors! Jessie at the Conroe, TX location is very professional and knowledgable. She let me take home several samples and then picked them up when she came to our home to measure for the floors. Installation was seamless. We love the new floors, they really improve the appearance of our home. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option!

    We worked with the Cypress location on 9/30/23 to replace carpet in 4 bedrooms and ceramic tile in 2 bathrooms upstairs. The salesman insisted the carpet be installed before tile. The carpet was installed on 10/6 and we got a tile install date on 10/27. Not enough tile was available. Our salesman had personally measured the carpet and tile areas. Noticed one bathroom's floor was over 1 inch lower than the adjacent bathroom carpeted floors and what the original tile floor had been. On 11/1, the first tile installers came with the newly ordered tile to finish. They saw the lower bathroom floor and insisted they were correct but got upset, left the tile, and left. We couldn't get answers from Floors For Living. A different installer came on 11/9 to finish the tile baseboards. He looked at the sunken bathroom tile and agreed it was a problem. On 11/18, 9 days after the last tile installer, we saw BBB said if there were unresolved issues to contact the CEO. On 11/20, I called and left a message for Mr. Streeter. He was quick to call back. We discussed the issues and the sunken bathroom floor. He understood and they would fix it by replacing the tile. On 12/4, the second tile installer returned. He replaced the sunken tile floor and corrected the job. We noticed in the other bathroom one tile against the sink cabinet had its grout line sunken too. The 1st tile installers had cut the piece of tile wrong and filled the remaining gap with grout hoping that would work and no one would notice. Instead, the grout sunk exposing a large gap. The transition between the carpeted floors and the bathroom in the non-sunken bathroom had gaps. A carpet guy came and fixed one, but was unable to fix the second because the carpet might rip. Floors For Living called on 12/11 and we told them about the transition issue, but nothing has been said. This job took 2.5 months to complete 99%. The CEO once contacted was great but that should not have been needed. We would not recommend.

    We shopped around for a company to put a runner on our stairs. The salesperson came to our home and did the measurements. She also brought carpet samples for us to choose from. We were assured the carpet had a stain resistant coating on it and would hold up well. The day of installation we were told the sales person had quit that day. The installer came out and told us the measurements were wrong and there was not enough cut and bonded to cover the landings. A second installation was scheduled and the installer did a great job. The runner immediately showed signs of accumulating dirt and showing footprint stains despite only 2 people walking on it. I vacuumed daily but the carpet still continued to stain. We called the Floors for Living Manager on Katy Freeway and also went in to see him personally. He asked me to send him pictures and he would contact the manufacturer, and I did. We attempted to reach him by phone multiple times over the course of 3 weeks and he did not ever return our calls. We contacted the Houston customer service number and they sent him a message. He texted me the name of a steam cleaner! Worst customer service ever and the product is substandard, to say the least. Absolutely avoid the Katy Freeway store as the manager will not provide you any customer service or even have a conversation with you. And, he is rarely in the store. At least that’s what his staff says.
