This man is a fraud. My husband and I hired David to install 2 mini split air conditioning units and a breaker box as the home we'd purchased was on the old fuse electrical system. The whole situation was off from the start. He never provided us with an actual estimate. Just a conversation via text messages. Which we never had any reason to suspect he was going to end up ripping us off. He requested 50% of the $10,000 quote up front which we paid. The first day one of his employees came out, he requested more money. I stated I wasn't comfortable paying more until more work had been done. He gave us a sob story about being sick and needing to pay his employees. So we blindly paid him another $2,000. So this is $7,000 we've paid him and only one employee had been out one time. Over the nxt 4 wks, he sent someone out a few more times. 1 of which times, the contractor who came didn't have any of the materials needed. So my husband had to spend $400 on parts for this contractor. We got to what we thought was the end of the job. Supposedly the last thing left to do was for someone to come out, inspect the work and then someone from the city would switch us over to the new breaker box. We never heard from him. No one ever came out from the city. Fast forward 6 months later and the old fuse system went out. It's mid Aug and we have no power. We reach out to David who acts surprised that no one came to the house. After 5 days of him saying someone would call or come to the house and no one ever calling or showing up. We finally realize this man is not going to finish what he started and right this wrong. So we contact another electrician who is also a contractor for the city. Come to find out, David never had a permit to begin with as the meter box he sent out to our home did not come from the city. Thus proving there was never a permit. He is no longer responding to calls or text messages. I will be filing a police report as well as contacting an attorney.
