    - ******************* (manager) did not measure the site despite my many requests in person and on the phone. Even their invoices explicitly state "A final measurement will need to be made before this job is started to confirm the linear footage." This was NEVER done. After 5 days the company realize it was impossible and not justifiable to charge me for additional work. -***** Stepanski the owner gave me her word she would call me back about the outrageous $6k invoice her company fraudulently tried to charge me for.. and she NEVER called me back!-Fence installation crew was inexperienced, immature, and not prepared -A 2 week project took 5 weeks (not due of the weather)-Poor communication and instruction between owner, manager and the kids that worked for them -The fences that was built had major issues: top of poles were sharp, exposed holes, a lot of debris (concrete, metal wire, nails, screws) -The fence was not secure or strong and miss parts -Ask for money up front and in good faith I paid them -Attempt to edit invoice and do not follow their own disclosures I strongly feel like I was taken advantage of and this company scammed me! I believed this company and they took my money and left me with a fence with major issues. This company should not be building fences. I gave them every opportunity to resolve this and they don't think it is necessary. Consumers should be aware of the issues they caused me. I can't imagine if they try to build a fence for other animals or a family with kids.. Someone will get hurt.

    This complaint is completely invalid. The customer was kind and completely satisfied until we requested final payment. She then complained about things that she had never brought up before. The complaints were ***** and were clearly an attempt to avoid making final payment. We repeatedly offered to fix any issues she had. She refused. We then agreed to not charge her the final invoice which is what she had requested when she made the ridiculous complaints. We made every attempt to resolve any issues she had in order to not tarnish our good reputation. She refused all offers and still demanded money back. We had already significantly reduced the amount she owed and STILL offered to fix any issues. The problem was, there were no issues to fix. We were kind and professional and she continued to berate us. It made no sense. We refused the refund and told her the offer stood for us to come back and evaluate if there were any issues left to resolve. Most of this was communicated electronically so we can provide proof. Thank you. Chase & ***** Stepanski. **************.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This business got caught trying to scam me out of an additional $6k+ for a "final invoice". When I questioned them on why they were so outrageously invoicing me without any prior notice they could not justify any reason or PROOF!! ***** NEVER called me back about my concerns on the $6k+ invoice. This company waited 4 DAYS to address the issue and attempted to brush me off. Then, when it came down to it, the fence was BELOW the estimate they provided. I am MAD that this company tried to SCAM me out of $6k+ and then tried to flip this whole situation around by pointing the finger at ME before they couldn't get money out of it! 

     

    This company has MAJOR issues and has cause MAJOR issues. Take their company disclosures which are clearly listed on their invoices:

    -"Final measurements will need to be made before this job is started to confirm the linear footage"- I made multiple request to ******************* in person and through text to take measurements and he never did. 

    -"A 50% deposit is required before any work can be started. The balance of this invoice is due upon completion of the work stated in this estimate"- We paid the 50% as required, however the owner of the company, ***** Stepanski, came to my house on 3/26/2022 requesting for us to pay the balance BEFORE the job was completed. In good faith, I paid the balance despite feeling uncomfortable. 

    This complaint is not just about getting out of paying an invoice (which has not justification). I was betrayed. I scammed. I believe them. I thought they were good people. If I actually owed Stepanski Landscaping anything I would pay it, this company OWES me money. As you can see from my past actions I paid the 50% upfront and the remaining balance PRIOR to the completion of work without complaint. My complaint is not "*****" or "ridiculous" I have PROOF of the nightmare this company has put me through. AND is continually putting me through... I am still finding metal in my horse pastures till this day!!  

    I did voice my concerns about the fences issues to their cite lead, *************************. I told him on several occasions the following: the fence line was set wrong, holes were not refilled, cement was left behind, there was a lot of sharp accessible wire, missing H braces and a horrendous about of wire and metal cuttings all over the ground. I did tell ******************* and ***** Stepanski via phone call, text and in person about my concerns especially about the harm they were exposing my horses to. Everyone assured me that my concerns would be taken care before the job was completed... this did not happen. 

    Yes, it is true ***** did offer to come back out and "fix any issues" however it was too late. As I have stated my boyfriend and I put countless hours into this substandard fence Stepanski Landscaping threw together. I did not want this unreliable company back out to my property because EVERY TIME they do it causes me more stress and work due to their lack of care and craftsmanship. 

     

    This company took advantage of my good nature. Who knows who else they try to collect a "final invoices" from I was just smart enough to figure it out. They caused me mental, physical and financial damage. I have PROOF: invoices, emails, text, pictures, videos, and eye witnesses to validate this complaint! IF this company cared about their customer and their reputation it would have not gotten to this point. They should have remedied this situation in a timely manner. They should have refunded me for the damage they caused and continue to cause. The amount of pure worry I have about my horses getting injured due to this company's irresponsible work is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. My horses don't deserve to live in a pasture where at any moment a 5 inch metal fragment or to have their legs cut up due to exposed wires does through their hoof because Stepanski Landscaping was so thoughtless. I fear for my horses safety and Stepanski Landscaping is to blame. This goes beyond just an invoice.
