This company has been scamming me. I over paid on my taxes, they said they would help me and it would take up to 90 days to get my refund and we're almost going on a year now and they will not give me the checks that were sent over to them. I call every 60 days to follow up the checks have been issued to them for months now, they keep trying to tell me that the tax office is sending one more check but I have spoken with the tax office as well as a supervisor at the tax office and they're stating there's no more checks this company straight up stole my money and will not send it to me. I have called them to speak with a supervisor and no one will give me any logical answer they just took the money from me. This is not ok. They have not given me a ***** but the tax office said they confirmed that refund ************ already deposited the checks! This is illegal I desperately need helpReview from Kimberly J

I received a mailer saying that I would get a refund. So I called them out they said a guy would have to come out to my house that my house was registered under the wrong type of registration. Me not knowing that I could do this under my own company if I would have brought it to their attention months later I am getting calls from them saying that I owe them 700 and something dollars and I have never even got a refund check. When I called in the past once I noticed I was being billed. I was told that the refund checks went to the ***************. Then I was told oh no they're right here in the office. Still no refund check and as of today on June the 3rd 2024 I got a call today saying I owe them 700 and something dollars. How do you end up filling out something saying you're going to get a refund they're going to take half of that refund You never see the refund and then you are getting calls about being billed. I told her she will not get anything from me. And I am going to be notifying my mortgage company as of today. Do not take yourself through this It doesn't make sense at the end of the day they're billing you. And in my situation I got no refund.Review from Tom L

I received at notice in the mail at our house from REFUND GROUP, Refund ***** It's search of public records showed we would loose $3054. 54 if we did not act soon. So I call. The lady told me basically what the letter asked. I sort suspected this was a scam promotion. So I began asking questions. Who are public agencies? She would not tell me. I responded, if it's a public agency why not? She still would not answer. Then I asked what fee they charge. She would not tell me. I'd have to make an appointment for a Notary to come to our house and verify our ID and then answer all my questions. At this point I said....this sounds fishy and like a scam. She said a recovery specialist would call. 2 hours later he did. He identifies himself and then says I have threatened them. I replied......I have not. I asked simply questions and the refused to answer. He then ended the call by saying well I'm sorry goining to loose out on a refund. Good Luck..and then hung up. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH AND ATTEMPT TO DO THE FILING ON YOUR OWN BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY!! When I was contacted, I was told my refund was going to be $1200+. Yes, they did tell me the fee was half, but they said my alternative was that I was going to just be lost out and come to find out I couldve filed myself and received my refund without any fees. Hesitantly I went along and signed the paperwork and expected to receive at least $600 in refund six months later I receive a check for $370. What they dont tell you is the additional 300+ was going to go to my mortgage company as part of the escrow. It was my responsibility to contact the mortgage and tell them to run a new escrow analysis in order to receive a refund towards my payment or something like that. I would not have known to contact my mortgage company to ask them for a new mortgage escrow analysis if I hadnt called the complain in the first place. Again, I just feel theyre taking advantage of people who are brand new homeowners, and arent up to par with knowing the ins and outs of filing taxes.Review from Kasey B

Do not use this company. They will scam you. They are looking for people to take advantage of and will not let you out of the contract. They are very rude. I spoke with a man named ***** and a woman named ****. They were very rude to me. ***** screamed at me because I was asking for my mom to be let out of this contract because she did not understand what she was signing. They are looking for elderly people to prey upon and are taking advantage of them. Watch out for them.Review from Tommy S

Well, I must agree with the majority here. My card said my refund was about ******* and RAC received 2 checks totaling about *******. I got a check from them for ******. What was never explained was them keeping future savings not yet realized. If signed off on that it was not knowing. This should all be explained up front but that's the way our world is these days. Simply put RAC is guilty of misleading practices and I am just another Mr. ********* I must say they processed paperwork that I neglected and that's worth something but paying them for future savings is not revealed or obvious. They have you believe up front that 50% of the refund goes to each party and that simply is not true. Good luck and consider them an institution for another ****** in life. That acronym would be IFALIF. That has fail all over it!Review from Joe R

I made the mistake of signing up with this company and then changed my mind but they will not let me off the hook. They stated that it is a legal binding document and I cannot cancel even tho I called the same day. They are preying on the elderly and should be investigated. I am now a nervous wreck over signing these documents. Do not make the same mistake as I did !!!Review from Jeffrey B

This is a scam! We waited 7 months & heard nothing. Then we figured out how simple it was to file and did so. Received our refund. A couple of months later we started getting bills from RAC for $1850.00 for doing nothing! We have called them many times and no one answers or returns calls. Do not use RAC! Filing is so easy to do yourself.Review from leanna V

I just received my refund. It is about 30% less than expected because of added on current year which was not refunded. I received $353 of $2,630 refunded. What a sham!!!!Review from john (jack) k

this company scams you in to signing paperwork.............its a scam, run as fast as you can.its been almost 9 months and i have received nothing. they tell you the state owes you money, won't tell you where the money is coming from. if your state owes you money call the state comptroller and collect yourself, unfortunately, I found that out to late.the texas comptroller knows about these clowns.
