I began getting acupuncture in August of 2022 for infertility, in preparation of IVF treatment. I went to Acupuncture of Dallas nearly every week for two months for this service. I was referred to the acupuncturist, *******************, by a friend. I called to make an appointment with ************. I knew she was older, so when a younger woman answered and booked the appointment, I asked if she was ************. She said ************ retired the year prior and she essentially sold/passed on her practice to this new person, ***********************, for who there is no information on the website. I expressed my concern that this ******** person was not on the website, and she said they were in the process of updating it. After prodding and prodding, she finally admitted she was ******** (the person on the phone) and that she had apprenticed under *************When I arrived to the office, there were still certificates for ************ everywhere - but not one document about ********, except for a business card with her name on it.After two months of treatments, there were some instances of unprofessionalism that I was unhappy with. I stopped going there, especially considering she wasn't even the acupuncturist I was referred to. I am concerned that she is taking advantage of decades of reputation that ************ built up to bring in clients. I recently had a family member set up an appointment - and the exact same thing happened to her. She didn't know that she was not booking an appointment with ************. She canceled her appointment and shared her concerns about the business potentially acting illegally or unethically. The person whose name is on the website, on the company name and in the office should be the one taking clients. If this person is truly a certified acupuncturist, she would have provided the appropriate documentation and updated the website - which still shows ******************* as the acupuncturist nine months after I went there. I'm concerned that they are acting unethically and should be transparent about who's providing the service.

******** called my sister crying, thinking she was the one who submitted the complaint. She said ************ was her mother and her mother died last year. It was too sad to talk about her death, so she said that ************ retired. Im more concerned that she has been lying to patients about ************ retiring - and am now even more concerned about what else shes lying about, whether she is even licensed.

*********************** called my sister last week after being contacted by the BBB, thinking that she is the one who filed the complaint. She was crying and said ************ actually died and she's been trying to run the practice. She said it was too sad to talk about her death, so she told people ************ retired. So she lied to all of us who went there for care since this transpired.

My sister - who did not go after learning she would not be meeting with ************ - told ******** that I'm the one who filed the complaint and to add herself to the website. As of last week, ******** has done that in the About section. But the business is still in **************** name, and the entire website is still dedicated to **************** amazing work. She is also still showing as recently retiring from the practice. It is disingenuous and, intentional or not, ******** is luring patients to her practice with **************** record. The entire website needs to reflect who the current acupuncturist is and her accolades. She was clearly able to update the website quickly last week with her info, so she has had the ability to change the website to be more truthful and accurate for at least one year and chose not to.

******** called me, I have not spoken to her, but I texted her that I believe she is unethically luring women to her office in **************** name and that I want a full refund for my treatments last year - which total approximately $1,000. I also was referred there by a friend who received services from ************ and feel I was misled and was very upset with the treatments I received. I provided ******** with my Zelle info and am waiting for a response.

I have texted and called ******** to resolve the dispute. Im going to try calling her one last time tomorrow, as I would like a refund for services I paid for, as I feel she unethically and illegitimately allowed clients to come thinking they were seeing ************. If she does not respond tomorrow, I will submit this as not satisfied, understanding that my claim will be public for three years.

I am rejecting this response because:

After multiple attempts to text and call ********, I have received no response.
