I hired Nicholas Smith in early June to do a probate case for me. He was responding at the beginning. But, after just approximately 6 weeks, I had to repeatedly reach out to him for updates (which I should not have had to do). And he would not respond. He would only answer after I stated that time was of the essence. As of right now I have not heard from him since late September. NOTHING despite MORE repeated requests for an update and charging for me sending him emails since he doesn't return phone calls.

I hired Mr. ********************** four years and seven days ago to handle a probate issue with my late guardian's estate. I paid him up front ($1750) on or about Oct., 8 2020 as he stated he was charging a fixed fee. I sent Mr. ********************** the documents he requested. Many requests for updates and information were sent to him by me without any response. He finally advised me that we were set to meet with the judge in March of 2022. We met with the judge & , it turns out, HE made a mistake regarding the court documents ! We had another hearing in June of '22 & nothing has been accomplished to resolve this SINCE. He charged me additional money for some correspondence, & asked for MORE documents from me. I have not heard ANYTHING from him since April of 2024 after I sending him the additional documents that he requested. I email him once or twice a month to ask for updates stating "URGENT" or "TIME OF THE ESSENCE" in either the subject line or the body of the email. Nothing. I just called his office today (10/15/2024) at about 11 a.m. & was transferred to voice mail -TWICE. The first ****** who answered the phone & transferred me was "****". The 2nd ****** was "*****". who also transferred me. At 1:27 I ended up getting a got a call back from a "*****" who said she would look into it & "give [me] a call RIGHT back". It is now 6:05 p.m. & NO call from "*****". I have called the number only to be answered by ... you guessed it - voice mail. He has taken my money and not provided the service he committed to.If he is upset that he charged me a flat fee, then that is on HIM. He can learn a ****** from that & not do that in the future but he does NOT get to have "seller's remorse" and decide not to follow through with the contract that we have because it ended up costing him more money and effort than he thought. It has been going on for YEARS and NOTHING. Nothing has been resolved at ALL. The case is STILL open and he is STILL not responding to ANY of my emails. No updates...nothing.

November 2023 paid Nicholas R. Smith $3000 to handle our probate case as we when went to court we didn't know we had to have a lawyer so we hired Nicholas R, Smith, Attorney at Law PLLC. He was so cordial meeting with him at this address **************************** which come to find out wasn't his office it was just a place where he sees client, but his assistant assured us that was his office but the manager of that apartment complex didn't agree What I'm trying to say is we haven't seen or heard from him since. We've been call getting nothing but the runaround. His assistant say she doesn't know anything about our case but she always says shes going to give him our messages he doesn't return our calls and she doesn't know any thing so we had to ask her what does she assist with she says she doesn't know anything that is the reason we went over to this place where he sees clients We haven't seen or heard from him. So we went to the court house they told us the court date had been changed he our lawyer filed a continuance on August 14, court date is August 20, 2024,and a new court date hadn't been set our lawyer still hasn't contacted us. If the people who we are taking to court hadn't told us we wouldn't even know that the court date had been changed and a new court date hadn't been set but her lawyer told her to come to court on the 20th anyway how come our lawyer hasn't said any thing to us. We went down to the Court to find out for sure and sure enough our lawyer filed a continuance and didn't tell us and didn't set a new court date. I don't know what these lawyers are planning on doing We had to borrow that money from our children they didn't mind because it was for a good cause but we still need a lawyer because he has run off with the money an we need our money back so we can get a lawyer we don't want him because he is a ***** we should've read those reviews first we would not have hired him but we were in a hurry

I initially paid Nicholas R ********************** $2,500.00 to do a full probate administration for my deceased mother on 8/15/2023. On 2/5/2024, Mr. ********************** emailed an invoice for an additional $991.82, which was paid the same day. I've attempted to call several times as well as emailed requesting an update, but no response.
