Stay FAR AWAY!! Joe and his painting/workmanship is garbage. I hired him for a BIG job. To paint my entire home except for one room. I don’t even know where to start on my complaint. He came out and never finished the job. He took so many shortcuts. Did not paint behind toilets, didn’t even move the shower curtain. Painted my kitchen cabinets and did not properly prep or prime. My cabinets already need another coat. He broke cabinets, drawers etc. Not only that, he used manila tape on my newly installed quarter round to paint and when he removed it he damaged ALL of my new quart round. Said he would fix it and never did. Then either blocked me or changed his number. His accomplice handyman replaced and never finished sealing or painting the door. It still doesn’t close right. There are so many spots where he never put a second coat on and you can tell. He also did NOT paint my ceiling as in contract, I wanted it bright white and he talked me out of and got touch up paint and merely spot painted. The man is a liar and a thief as he charges for work he never does. He also inexplicably disappeared off of the thumbtack app after he was done with our job. I would never, ever recommend them. I would go with a reputable company with great reviews and accolades. Joe promised a lot up front and charmed us with his “personality”. Not only that, as we were talking casually he mentioned several homophonic slurs and his distaste specifically for gay men. I am not gay but have gay family and friends and was really offended. We paid him close to $6000 between painting and the “handyman” jobs. I wish I could go back and hire a different company. We are so disappointed and feel like we were scammed. Do NOT hire this man or anybody from Bair Paw Painting.
