  The company came out to clean our chimney and repair a small crack in the brick of our fire place. 2 guys were there, one was the salesmen giving me an estimate and the other did the physical work. I was asked if I wanted the inside of the fireplace painted black. I was shown pictures on the salesman phone, obvious over-spray was visible in some of the photos, so I declined the painting. The salesmen was in the company van during the time the other guy was cleaning and "repairing" the crack in the fireplace. I asked the guy cleaning the fireplace what color the caulk that was used to "repair" the crack was going to dry. He answered, "the same color, grey.". I said ok and that I still needed to pay. I went upstairs to get my credit card and when I came downstairs I could smell spray paint. The guy had started painting the inside of the fireplace. I told him I did not want this. I went outside to speak with the other guy, bc he was still outside on his phone in the van, I informed he that he started to paint the fireplace and I did not want that. He came in and ultimately told me that the other guy didn't speak or understand English very well and misunderstood my question about the color of the caulk. I told him that if he had been inside that this would not have happened. He said I was right and apologized. He said he could only discount me 200 dollars off the 600 dollar cost of services. He said he couldn't do anymore so I paid 400 with the intention of speaking to a supervisor to be refunded or discounted more bc I wasn't happy with the end result or the experience as a whole. He called him on his phone, never giving me his name or number but he was on speakerphone. The supervisor said to do whatever they needed to do to make the customer happy. We agreed on 100$ and I was told id receive an invoice to reflect 100$ cleaning and 300$ refund. That never happened. I called and spoke with a lady named *** and she didn't help at all.
