Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: please see attached screen image.
I explained to ***** before hiring him that I cannot go up ladders so I need him to take before and after photos. There is a problem with that.
He said he could remove, disassemble, lubricate, reassemble and reattach the squeaking turbine vents. Photos? I believe there is one photo. When the turbine vent started squeaking again and actually blew off my roof, ***** arrived and said "I figured that one on the right would be the problem, there are missing clips and the screws were wonkey". Okay, that is bad enough, but when he comes back from ********** with a circular piece of wood he claims is pressure treated wood that ********** cut for him a big red flag goes up. ***** finally produces the ** receipt and the produxt code is for non pressure treated wood cut in Brazil. Neither ********** nor ****** make circular cuts in store. ***** offered a complete refund and I accepted his offer. He refused to mail me a check. Je wanted to place the refund under my door mat? Why? There is more and I will provide more texts and emails at your request.

Yes i had responded before. Customer approved all repairs & process & was shown piece of wood before installed. Material used was as agreed upon. His complaint & only issue is the piece of wood was not custom cut but prefabricated. I asked ********** for a pressure treated circular piece of pine which was produced while shopping for other supplies. I was under the impression it was cut for me. Regardless same product same result. Customer became upset when he felt misled and questioned my integrity about material used. Once proven to be mistaken it seemed to upset him more that such a stink had been made over what realistically was done as agreed upon. All receipts were furnished , job was approved before & payment was collected when completed. He watched the entire process & thanked me for coming on a weekend for an emergency fixCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. ********************** showed up at my location and told me he thought that the right side turbine would be the problem because the screws "were kinda wonkey". (I didn't say anything at the time, but that statement caused me to look closer at everything Mr. ********************** had done and was doing.) Then he had to go get a circular piece of wood because he originally showed up with a roof patch as he planned to remove the entire vent. He assured me I only needed the left and center turbine vents. He told me the piece of circular wood he had was pressure treated and that ********** cut it for him. Then he changed his story to "some guy got it for me" I checked with ********** and they said. When Mr. ********************** finally produced the ********** receipt, I had the part number and that part number shows a precut piece of wood from Brazil that is not pressure treated. ********** confirmed they do not make circular wood cuts only straight wood cuts. Mr. ********************** sent me some information from Lowes about painting pressure treated wood with primer for some reason.Anyway, because of this incident where he was aware of a problem and chose not to say anything to me about the "wonkey screws" I began to investigate. I called the vent manufacturer and they advised me that based on the square footage of my home, I did need all three turbine vents. And the manufacturer went on to say the turbine would require special tools to disassemble, lubricate and reassemble. That when the turbine makes squeaking noises, the bearings are damaged beyond any lubrication. When I hired Mr. **********************, I made it clear I could not get up on a ladder so I needed before and after photos. Mr. ********************** agreed to provide the before and after photos. I don't have any photos from Mr. ********************** showing disassembled turbines and reassembled turbines. Mr. ********************** provided a warranty for two years. I did not demand or ask for weekend service. Mr. ********************** provided one single photo of a section of my gutter having leaves. And then he provided someone else's gutter full of leaves. He did not provide before and after photos showing all of my gutters. Mr. ********************** did provide some before photos of roof jacks needing replaced and one after photo of a repaired roof ****. Mr. ********************** also said there were several spots on my shingles where the stone was gone and that he should cover those spots or the sun would cause holes to develop and then there would be leaks. I have one photo of a damaged shingle. Mr. ********************** said he would use white silicon caulking and it would look like bird s*** (his words) but he provided only one before and no after photos. I got a pair of binoculars and I just don't see any white silicon spots on my roof. Nothing to present a claim to GAF regarding the shingles. Mr. ********************** did not provide before and after photos of the 9 purloins he said were damaged and needed to be supported by adding 2x4's to the damaged areas. Now I have nothing to present to the insurance company.
So Mr. ********************** offered me a full refund and I accepted. I don't have a refund yet. I don't need to meet with Mr. **********************. He needs to mail me a refund and he can go his way and I will go my way. I have requested Mr. **********************' mailing address and his mailing address is not on his door hanger or any documents or ******** site. Why is that?
I don't recall seeing the wood close enough to determine if it was pressure treated. Evidently, I made a mistake in trusting Mr. **********************. I need the complete refund or his address.
Thank you for your time and consideration
Best regards,
