On September 12, 2023 I had an appointment with ************ and the morning of the appointment someone from the office called me to say that I would have to pay $383 at the time of the appointment or cancel if I could not pay. I asked what this was about, I was told that my insurance did not pay 2 claims from over 6 months prior. I told them I did not know about this as I had not gotten any statements. Shortly after this conversation I was sent a bill saying the amount was past due and could be referred to collections. This was very disturbing since he had never billed me. I contacted my insurance several times, they said that 1) the office will not send them information they have requested for service dated 2/28/23 and 2) that ******************** had indeed paid them for service dated 10/4/22. I have sent messages asking them to send the information requested and they only resubmit the same thing with no changes. I have sent messages stating they were paid for service dated 10/4/22 and I will not pay them in addition to what they received. **** sent a message that I need to prove they received the payment by contacting my insurance company and getting the *** and EOB, which is unheard of. I was told that any bill over 90 days is the responsibility of the patient, however I was not informed of an issue until almost 4 months after the service. I called ******************** earlier this year and they said they asked for communication multiple times but no one contacts them, while I was on the phone we called **************** office and the phone system does not offer any way to reach a person unless you are a new patient so the insurance cannot reach anyone to talk to. The phone number for ************ online is ************ and that is the number with no options, I was told to give them ************ to call and it is also not a correct number. There are other people saying ************ is demanding payment after receiving payment from insurance.
