    We recently moved (about 2 weeks ago) and hired a company that put up a flyer in the condo where we lived, saying it was the cheapest price in *********** and the reason we hired this company was because when we spoke to the owner, **** ******* he said that he would not charge any additional fees and that he does not charge for moving up or down floors like other companies. He asked me for my credit card number because he said that I would have to receive $45 in advance and that after the move, he would return it. He has not returned the $45 to this day. Even though I have called and texted Mr. ******* he keeps saying that he will check and that he will get back to me, but he never does. At the end of the move, he charged much more than he said he would. He charged 3 and a half hours when he only worked 3 hours, he charged taxes and he even said that he was charging for going up and down stairs, which he had previously said he would not charge extra for. In the end, what should have cost $255, because according to the owner, he would only charge $85 per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours worked, and he charged more than $400 and keeps saying he will return the $45 we paid as a deposit and he doesn't. It seems to me that this company has been doing this all over *****.

    No show by Dependable Moving despite reservation with $50 Deposit made 3 weeks ahead.I am requesting refund due to no show.I do not fully understand BBB notice of lack of Texas Licensing, but I will use the link provided.August ****** I made reservation with Dependable Moving, for August 30 to move contents of 1 bedroom apartment from ****************** to *********************. I paid $50 deposit as requested through Cash App to "**** ****** $Dependable2024". All conversation was by Text message to ************ August 28, 2024 I sent text message to confirm move date and time. August 29 *********** replied "We have you scheduled tomorrow for late afternoon. Is that okay?" I replied "perfect."August 30, 2024. No text message from Mr. ****** providing expected time for move.3:06 PM I sent text requesting ETA. 4:03 PM I sent text requesting arrival time. 4:24 PM Mr. ****** "Stuck on a job right now. Driver will call you when headed your way".6:47 PM I sent text requesting arrival time.7:39 PM I sent text "any updates?"7:51 PM Mr. ****** "I'm headed to job site now. It looks like my driver has a problem with moving truck. They're stuck right now. We might have to reschedule? I'm sorry things like this happen. I'll let you know in a few minutes"8:13 PM I text asking if he can reschedule my move tomorrow (Saturday)8:32 PM Mr. ****** "I am checking on it now"9:38 PM I send text requesting response on reschedule Saturday August 31 8:08 AM I sent text offering additional payment for move due to Labor Day weekend.Due to no response, I had to find another moving option. New movers arrive 11:00 AM .1:51 PM text from Dependable Moving "From ***** here at Dependable moving. Did you get your move completed?"7:29 PM My delayed text response was due to actual move and then taking movers out to eat. I responded "yes, Sorry had to go with another mover."

    Dependable Movers asked for a deposit. In good faith I gave this company $45. Three appointments scheduled to give me an estimate. Never called, cancelled, or came to my apt. I sent a text asking for my deposit back saying I found another mover. Nothing! I looked on the BBB website and they dont even have a license! They had advertised at my apt complex.
