We went under contract for a pool and all equipment in July 2022. We paid almost 100K over different phases of installation. We were finally able to add water at the end of March 2023. The company did not uphold their end of the contract. Per our contract propane tanks for the spa and a pool vacuum were included. We contracted the installation of the propane tanks after the owner ****** said he would pay the company directly ($2814.50) Also, we did NOT receive our pool cleaner per the contract. We had to purchase one on our own ($650). The company DID NOT pay for the propane tanks or provide a pool cleaner as per contract. A refund of $3,464.50 is owed immediately.

Pool contract was signed in October 2021 with it being done by a march earliest late April ********************************* mid October 2022 which is a year now that we have been trying to get these issues fixed. It takes weeks for anyone to respond wether you call, text, email, or get onto ********* By far the worst customer service I have ever had/seen. So much Over Promising & under delivering. While I can swim in my pool I have also -been putting my own chemicals in the pool as It was turning very green due to them not coming regularly as I can show with emails and text!-There is still a lot of huge rocks, rebar, mounds of dirt, holes with no dirt around the pool. Along with cracks everywhere.-I cant use my lights on the pool as he states they dont know how to work the new product. -My water refill line isnt connected yet so therefor I have to manually do it.-There is a lot of plaster on my tile due to not being covered or cleaned properly.-I cannot use my slide due to not enough water flow as well as slide is not molded right for water flow.-slide, two inlet bubblers, and grotto are on one pump and the pool on another. He stated they plumbed it wrong and it should be 2 on one pump and 2 on the other pump. I have that written in text as well. -Back fence gate is broken and he said he would have it fixed as well as its in the contract. Theres a few other issues as well. Ive gotten in contact with a few other customers of his who have the same issue as myself and their pool.

Contract initiated for pool July 2021. We were informed that our job had several delays due to COVID. Our pool was finally filled in the beginning of May, but pool began to leak during filling. We contacted the owner to let him know and was told its not a big deal. The owner has admitted to the fact that he wasnt impressed by the plumber/electrician he hired to complete our project. However, failed to have a thorough inspection completed on our pool. We have had multiple water leaks with plumbing since pool was filled with water in May, including leaking into our yard. Our spa is incomplete currently due to water leak which required the plumbing company to break the stone/gunite 3 weeks ago. It remains incomplete. Prior to leak, we were not given jet valves for spa use although these are stated in contract as being included. We are told that plumbers will return the next day and do not show. When owner is contacted, he has no accountability for the false information we continue to receive. He states he has no control over subcontractors and they will show up when they are available. Our last/current leak lasted for more than two weeks before he sent someone to address/fix issue, which was delayed on several occasions due to his hired workers not showing up to complete the job. Our LED light in the pool was not installed correctly and owner refuses to send someone to fix. We were told on September 6th by owner that all incomplete items would be completed with 48 hours. Our pool remains incomplete currently. We have had minimal success with getting the owner to respond timely to calls/texts, he provides false statements to getting these items addressed, and has been unsuccessful in providing us with a 100% functioning pool as agreed upon in contract.

We at SP Design & Renovation strive for excellence, consistency, and great customer service, an overwhelming majority of our customers understand this and we achieve that greatness however in the construction business there are things that happened there are people that do not tell the whole story there are two customers specifically that have had issues one of them major caused by the freeze which we are doing our best to address and check every single possible issue and correct those issues to attain the high quality that we expect however these processes are time consuming and frustrating we understand that but again we do our best to keep momentum going unfortunately in this business we rely on subcontractors that work for multiple companies and do our best to get them out there in a timely fashion Common ultimately they were always two sides to every story we choose not to fight back with words what do use our actions to speak for themselves.

I am rejecting this response because:

SP Design and Renovations does not follow through on completing jobs. The owner does not respond in a timely manner. He currently has pools that are unfinished, yet he has completed other jobs during that time instead of being a good businessman and making his uncompleted pools from over a year ago a priority. SP Design and Renovation has left our family with a product that we cannot use. We have requested that if the hired subcontractors are not available to complete our job then to send another company. The owner has taken our money and left us with a product that is not completed. The freeze the company is referring to has nothing to do with the current issues we are experiencing at this time. We have proof from the owner that in fact it was the subcontractor he hired to complete the plumbing that has caused these repeated issues. We have waited two months for his subcontractors to complete the recent plumbing issue we have. Our spa does not function as they have not retuned to connect pipes:plumbing. We were informed via email last week by owner that someone would be out to fix this issue and they never showed. We have sent the owner emails and he doesnt respond. This is the most unprofessional company and has given us the run around since signing a contract. The owner is a liar and doesnt care about quality just quantity. I have attached actual proof of my home during the freeze the owner keeps referring to. We had not signed a contract or started to build a pool with him during this freeze he keeps speaking of. I also have attached proof of emails that his company does not respond to. I have attached recent photos of our pool/spa and plumbing that isnt completed. Our goal is to be treated fairly and with respect. We are not attempting to ruin a business as we have proof of everything we have experienced since contracting a pool with SP Design and Renovation.

    Regards,
