***********************************, the owner of Equipment Pro Services, has been paid $20,000 for a construction project started six months ago located at ******************************* in **************, *****. After tearing up the backyard, he abandoned the job and will not answer calls and text messages.

Initially the customer paid for a 6 concrete pad.

after deciding to have an engineered, permitted patio added to this area additional labor of excavating, additional concrete and rebar were necessary.

customer understood there would be amendments neede to continue on with this work.

6 concrete pad was not adequate to support the newly added job of the patio cover.

we verbally agreed to continue work as our customer added on 2 addional

concrete pads, a pavilion and a home renovation.

additonal costs were not paid for and customer wanted to cancel the contract due to the amount of time it was taking to Renovate their home.

we did excavate as our customer pushed us around between projects.

permitting process along with engineering were reason for delays along with being in the middle of another project for this couple of customers.

when it came to amendments customer did not feel they should

pay for addional work as agreed upon. Roughly double the concrete , higher PSI, more than double the rebar, addional labor and equipment rentals.

we do not work for free and materials are also not free.

this customer harassed and slandered our name to family and social media sites without the entirety of the story.

I am rejecting this response because: The Equipment Pro Services lied in his response. We have a contract. We paid fully for 2 concrete pad which supposed to be for the pavilion and for the patio. Another concrete pad was added for future project and its also paid separately.  This business excavated the ground for patio and the pavilion. The pavilion pad was poured and he started building the pavilion while waiting for the permit to build the patio. The pavilion is not completely finish when *********************** requested the second payment so he can start buying the materials for the patio and to pay his worker. I paid him $2,300 cash that day and my husband gave him 2 checks per his request. One for $10,000 and one for $2,590. After we paid him that second payment he didnt touch that project again. The contract stated that he will finish by July 29, 2022. We understand that theres some circumstances that we could not help but to wait this long for the patio to get done is depressing especially when I could not go to our backyard from our kitchen without fear of falling and breaking any bones in our body. I texted him and I texted his wife whom happen to be the manager of this business to give me refund for the second payment so I can find someone else to finish the patio but I have not received a response from them. He texted us and my husband after so many texts that he couldnt meet us because it was his twins birthday party. After that, we didnt hear from him again. We texted and we called him many times but he gave us no response. I even texted his wife and no response either. We are not harassing him. We were just calling and texting him to finish the job that we paid him to do or just give us refund so another contractor can finish it. I even offered him to just give me the copy of the permit for the patio and I will deduct it for the payment that he already received but he didnt response. We tried our best to make this work but it looks like he did not want to make it work. My texts has been either (read or delivered). We just want the money that we paid him. They will not response to us so I had to warn other people not to get scam by this business thru social media. Thats when the wife (Equipment Pro Services manager) answered stating that we were the worst couple to do contract with and if she can put us on social media she will. All in all, we paid him over $45,500 for the project in the backyard that is abandoned by Equipment Pro Services.

    Regards,
