Vehicle was priced at $23,991. Dealer did not want to honor my pre approved application from my bank. I was told I had to let them run my credit to be able to get a lower APR. When able to find a bank with a lower APR I was never told of a price increase. Paperwork was signed but was to NOT be finalized till that Saturday01/04/2025. I was lied to on my contract. They never told me about the sale price increase. I realized the discerptions the very next day. When I contacted them about the issues, I was talked to very ugly and said they were just going to submit the contract to the bank and I was no longer there issue but the bank. I informed them of terminating the contract and not to proceed with it and dropped the vehicle of that day Friday 01/03/25. Financial employee refused to speak to me so keys were dropped of at front desk. Called multiple times to speak with manager. Till this day, month later, I was unable to speak with a manger. Saturday ,01/04/2025, without any knowledge the vehicle was dropped of at my home with keys left in vehicle. No call no text. Contacted dealer and ******* informed me paperwork was sent to bank and i could no longer call the dealership. I was deceived and had no knowledge of them increasing the sales price. I was forced into a contract I did not accept to after finding out the numbers where changed. By them increasing the price my down payment did not help nor make a difference financially. I have had to wait over a month for them to have the vehicle registered to my name in order for me to sell it back to a dealership in which due to them increasing the vehicle price I had to come out of pocket $8,771.26 not including he $3,000 I gave as a down payment. I am making this complaint for them to be responsible held for their action and FRADULENT MISREPRENTATION.

We understand your frustration with the buying process of your vehicle.  Allow me to address your issues.
When we receive a pre-approval from a customer, we do take this into consideration but with your approval, we try to reach the best deal for you and not only consider what you have brought but also check with the financial institutions at our disposal to get you the best rate and payment which includes processing a credit application with your approval and signature. When reaching an agreement with the salesperson on the purchase, we do disclose the purchase price and payment and ask for you to sign before proceeding to finance.  When in finance, our finance manager does go over all the options we have available and discloses the price of the vehicle, the pricing of the warranties you agree to and overall price broken down to your monthly payment.  Once you sign for the vehicle and copies of the contract are given to you, the vehicle is purchased is yours.  When you came by to return the vehicle, if the finance manager is with a customer, they cannot excuse themselves to speak with you since that customer is due the attention you received when you were with them.  Our Managers would have spoken with you, if requested.  Although they are extremely busy, they do everything to be sure to address any of our customer's concerns but sometimes not in the time frame the customer requests.  If the vehicle was returned, I am sure we tried to contact you to let you know the vehicle was taken to you.  We take pride in giving all the information to the customer and being transparent,so you know what you are purchasing and everything entailed in the purchase.  We would be happy to sit down with you and go over any other questions or concerns you have.

They added all kinds of fees to the purchase price of the car. All of the paperwork they gave me has different purchase prices for the car. I asked why there was a $4000 discrepancy on the contract I was given. When I went into the dealership to have contract explained they showed me a different contract that was not given to me on the sales day. They told me they had charged me for not financing with Toyota but I was never given the choice and I was not told about the charges.. They told me warranties were nonrefundable and after driving back and forth to dealership and having my calls ignored, I asked my family to call and ask for finance manager. They finally took some of the warranties off after my family kept calling.. They told me the car was used but charged me for a new car.

Came in with a ****** offer on a 2018 **** Taurus which they dropped to $12,000, but I would not trade for less than ****** to which they verbally agreed, but in final documents it dropped by 500.Drove off in a Tundra for way too much money considering the ****** jump start. It was advertised at 24 mpg highway. On a trip to a ******************* at the Omni in *************, the onboard computer had calculated an average mpg of 18. That was reason enough to return it, not to mention the constant fear shifting and the log wagon ride. In the next deal, which they claimed would rectify the first, it got worse. I now owe $****** on the Tundra that I put $20,000 dollars plus a ****** trade = $37,000 So rather than own the truck which they never showed me a window sticker on, which I should have by now..There is no way that that truck is worth $37000 no matter how you cut it despite the dealer added $5,000 in fluff apex charges. They claim that they are reputable, but in the same breath demanded payment of ****** in cash for a $31,900 RAV4 They now have my cash, the Tacoma and the used Rav 4 and I still havent been able to have a document review with my accountant. I have not yet taken delivery

The trade in value of the 2018 ****** was disclosed multiple times prior to signing any paperwork in the Finance office. We sent all the documents to *************** immediately upon his request.  the vehicles had not been fully paid for or taken delivery of. At this time we reached out to **************** to finalize the transactions and discussed in length the dollar amounts on each transaction as he had stopped payment on the check he had written, during the call and going over the figures again, he then agreed to wire the funds and then requested copies of the purchase agreements and we immediately complied with his request and emailed them to his accountant, In regards to the fuel mileage on the Tundra the manufacturer estimates the *** based on driving conditions after break-in, that is something the dealership would have no control over and are published by the manufacturer and the **** Since *************** has taken delivery of each vehicle. Maybe his response to the BBB was prior to the completion of the financial transactions and final delivery of the vehicles.

***DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM----ANY TOYOTA YOU WANT CAN BE FOUND OR ORDERED ELSEWHERE***WOW....should have looked here first! This dealership has abysmal business practice and has NO respect for customers or ANY business concept of the customer being right! PLUS THEY CLEARLY PULLED A VERSION OF A BAIT AND SWITCH....They had a speciality used car on their lot and advertised it online for at least several weeks and when I expressed interest in the car from out of state offering to wire funds and fed-ex documents etc to do the deal (WHO EVER HEARD OF A USED CAR SALESMAN DODGING A DEAL!!). However i was given the run-around for a week with them alleging that because I couldn't hop a flight down to ***** from NY promptly, I was likely FRAUDULENT (basically accusing me of such, when I have bought 6 cars in 5 different states over the past 10 years!)ANYWAY, as I was trying to do the deal with them, they suddenly "SOLD" the car to another dealership in their "family" (Victoria Dodge) and i was told to contact them. They in turn were glad to work on the transaction and secure financing, etc, BUT, the car suddenly went up $8000 in price!!!**** is useless though not particularly malicious, however **** the sales manager is more useless that t*** on a bull and the dealership senior management is beyond complicit and in fact overtly rude, NOT very savvy and strongly lacking business sense and ANY sense of customer service or significance. Very SHADY and disrespectful to customers, to whom ANY valid business must afford AT LEAST the benefit of the doubt. THEY CAN KEEP THAT CAR THAT I WAS WILLING TO BUY IN 24hrs and work on selling it at their new price point and if they list it cheaper again, it will just factually confirm the swap to ******* me out of more money simply because I express a lot of interest in the car. HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP AND BUSINESS MODEL!!

It is very unfortunate that there is a high degree of fraud when we are contacted by out of state clients. We never intend on offending nor do we accuse anyone of fraud. We require extra verifications to make sure that there is no fraud occurring. We specifically asked that ************************ be present at the dealership to consummate the deal. He informed us that he would try and get his girlfriend here, who was in *********. Before that could happen, we sold the vehicle to another entity. At that point, we don't own the car anymore. There is no reason for us to want to defraud ************************. We simply didn't own the car anymore.

This dealership is bait and switch and tries to add to the car price at every step. Be careful with the numbers they tell you. They will give you a rough number for the outdoor price but the final price is thousands more than what they led me believe. Get an EXACT number, get the BREAKDOWN of the price at EVERY STEP. Even though I could pay cash they said the price we landed was for financing that that the cash price was $4000 dollors more. The trick they were doing was to give me a lump sum at the finance office but I found out the number was too much. I asked for the breakdown and caught sereral packges in there which they didn't inform me at any poirnt. In the end I didn't do the deal even though we were almost done with the paperwork. The sales manager called me afterwards and twisted the truth and said I knew about those packages.

They sold me a car, but when I went to pick it up, they said it had a **** dollar transmission repair and tried to sell me a new car I couldn't afford.

We always strive to sell people a vehicle they want. Some pre-owned vehicles do not comply with that process. ********************** knew the vehicle had not been put through an inspection at the time of looking at the vehicle. Unfortunately, with the repairs needed to the vehicle she looked at, the expense exceeded what would have made the deal work for both parties. Once this was discovered, we looked for a suitable option, however, it was above the budget the customer would consider. We have other options now that *** work. We would encourage her to reach out if she is still interested in getting a vehicle with the addition of new inventory options at the store. ************.

Ive bought several vehicles over the years and never have a dealt with such a dishonest and shady dealership. While signing the paperwork for a new vehicle, the numbers were not adding up to me. Once a got home, I laid out everything and sure enough, **** was added to the purchase price that was agreed upon. I called and was given some answer that didnt explain anything. Called again, and was able to figure out that the **** for my trade was added to the agreed purchase price . So I was basically giving them my trade for nothing . I did not buy the car and took my business elsewhere. Dont waste your time here, and if you do buy make sure to read and that you understand everything. They told me that I agreed to that but obviously that was never explained to me . No one in their right mind would agree to that. They knew exactly what they were trying to do

We strive to make every negotiation work. There are multiple variables that affect what the final numbers are, such as equipment packages, mileage, and auction information. Those factors can sway a deal thousands of dollars. We do our best to communicate (verbally and in writing) the rationale behind our pricing. Whenever there is verbal communication, one person's understanding can vary from another's. As in this scenario, we always give the customer the opportunity to review those verbal communications in writing before proceeding forward with a deal. We would never expect someone to purchase a vehicle if they didn't agree on the numbers. Please reach out if there is anything that we can do to assist in the future, whether for service or sales.

There was no misunderstanding. I asked the finance manager twice to explain it to me and he could not give me a straight answer. As a matter of fact when I called him out on what had happened, he just sat there in silence, there was no response. Bottom line is the price that I verbally told and shown on a piece of scratch paper was not the price when it came time to sign the papers.

In reviewing the deal, $6000 was not added to the price. Outside of that issue, if there were communication problems regarding every specific number, we apologize. If you would like to contact the General Manager, ***********************, he would be glad to talk to you about any concerns you have. His number is ************.

Worked with a salesman over a period of roughly a week. Spoke to several other salesman during the week to confirm the truck was the price I was initially told and did not have any market adjustments.... I verified this on more than one occasion with multiple people. When talking with the sales manager and explaining that we had outside financing approved and did not want to do toyota financing, the mood completely changed. We were then told the price of the truck was actually 2k (over MSRP) more than what we were told all week, which is bs. He then told us to use toyota finance for 4 months so they could get a kick back and then refinance with our own bank. The sales manager tried to make up all these excuses as to why outside financing is so bad and even said a wire would take like 3 weeks to get their money. That is completely false. I've worked in the banking industry and wires go out the SAME DAY once sent, or next day if sent in the afternoon. He then calls back and says "oh by the way, we are adding 10k for 'market adjustment'", which is complete trash and just a way to push us "out the door" because they didn't want to deal with it.I can't wait until the market gets turned upside down for vehicles. They'll be polishing shoes and begging people to buy a car from them. Also, any response given to this will most likely be completely false and misleading.

    Toyota of Victoria Response

    02/28/2023

Using financing outside the dealership network of banks is not as simple as described by this customer. The money does not simply get wired. There are many logistical hoops that have to be performed by the dealership team that take a minimum of several weeks before the money is wired, if they even wire it at all. They may very well send a check via regular mail which adds even more time. The dealership is not willing to wait that long for the funds to be delivered. Based off of the information provided, there is no way for us to research this exact deal. If the customer wishes to discuss the issue with the General Manager, ***********************, his number is ************.

My parents took in there 2018 Highlander because it was making a squeaking noise. Car has extended warranty but the service writer said is was the tensioner and it wasnt covered, seemed odd. It cost $800 just to have the car making the same noise when they picked it up. Took it back and they looked at it again to find it was a rock wedged between the frame and a plate. They demanded a refund since the car didnt need the work but where told no and treated badly. The dealership made a mistake, it happens, but they should do something to make it right.

The vehicle in question is a 2017 Highlander. The orginal problem with the vehicle occurred in July of 2021. The customer stated in their orginial complaint that there was a loud noise coming from under the hood. Upon inspection of the vehicle, at idle, the belt tensioner was found to be making noise. Also found was a leaking water pump. The water pump was covered under power train warranty. The tensioner was not covered. The original price of the tensioner was $755.16. We discounted it $100 to $655.16. The orginal complaint didn't say anything about the issue occuring while driving. Once the customer discovered the secondary noise, they returned with the vehicle and we promptly discovered the cause of the additional noise that occurred whie driving. We did not charge the customer to diagnose this issue or remedy it.
