Where is *********** Schwab uses poorly trained and non registered employees to answer your account questions. These inexperienced **** are Schwab's answer to low commission policy. Beware and Watch OutReview from Eileen H

I have had way too many bad experiences with financial institutions. I know that Schwab is not BBB accredited, but it does have a rating of A+ (rather rare), and my experience affirms this rating. I find Schwab to have excellent customer service, available 24/7. They make less mistakes than other institutions (no one is perfect) and the reps are usually knowledgeable (or they know where to find answers), unlike far too many inept ************ website is also easy to use (with help when needed, always available). Schwab is the only company where I feel comfortable managing a variety of complex (to me) issues. I highly recommend it. I would give it 4 stars, because no one is perfect, but I find it to be the best.Review from Paul C

In simple terms Charles Schwab is an average company doing below average work. The online chat is nearly useless, takes 2-3 minutes for a simple response.I have called in twice, each time was less than a great call.I got to the end of the call and wondered, wait. I am a customer depositing a couple hundred grand in your company and I get treated like a second rate citizen. This may turn into a very short term relationship. Thanks for showing your averageness early in the process. I will not be disappointed laterReview from Patrick G

Be careful with your money. Schwab has lousy account security! They allowed a fraudulent transfer from my account but wouldn't cover it under their Security Guarantee. They claim an *** code was sent to my number and I authorized it. The only problem is, the number they claimed received the *** code had been disconnected for almost 4 years. Not to mention it was a land line and couldn't send or receive texts.Review from IAM B

This is the worst securities brokerage firm. Their platform is inefficient and ineffective. I was unable to place a trade due to inaccurate information compared to another securities firm. With activities side by side, I could never exit Charles Schwab options or stocks at the market rate unless at a loss. Brokers informed me they couldn't exit my position either. For weeks, the stock prices didn't move on their platform. While monitoring three securities firms, plus Yahoo, ***, and two other financial websites, Charles Schwab's prices barely shifted. I could close the same position with other brokerages but always struggled with Charles Schwab. The broker said Charles Schwab would buy my option for 1 cent to 'help me out.' In other words, to deplete my cash. Run! I recommend finding another securities firm immediately.Review from Juliet N

Ive been a loyal Schwab client for 15 years. Schwab has profited handsomely from my money (7 figures). All of a sudden I get a letter saying they are closing ALL my (>15) accounts and refused to provide a reason stating it was a business decision. They gave me less than 30 days to move all my accounts out and after just 13 days restricted all my accounts from trading except for liquidations. Then they kept rejecting outgoing ACAT Transfer requests essentially keeping my assets and money hostage.I have learned from this that:1. Schwab goes overboard to protect themselves while taking advantage of their loyal clients - the sole source of their existence 2. Schwab doesnt give a c*** about YOU their client and disregards YOU and treats YOU like garbage giving YOU zero respect or consideration once they decide they are done with you. And if theyre not done with you yet, they will discreetly take advantage of you by earning money on YOUR money to fatten their pockets paying you 0.45% interest while they cash in 5.3% on YOUR hard earned money!3. Schwab will go into your accounts and liquidate positions and restrict and debit your account with no warning claiming its their right.4. Schwab Bank is the absolute worst bank I have EVER dealt with. Schwab bank screwed up numerous times and returned all my payments unpaid causing me tons of late fees and finance ********** horrendous experience falls right in line with all these one star reviews Ive read. If I could give them a NEGATIVE 100 stars I would. I will do everything in my power to spread the word of how despicable Schwab ******** thoughts to YOU Schwab:-You refuse to provide reasons for your business decision to close my accounts - a form of concealed discriminationSee you in Court!.-When God closes a door he always opens a window somewhere. You just lost yourself a huge portfolio in my assets and all my families and friends assets forthcoming supporting your own demise. What goes around comes aroundReview from Mitchell E

Loss of / FALSE / Possibly Fraudulent REPORTING of Reporting of Dividends : 35% to 50% Low While the Account / Dividend Income Page splits the current month from other months and was reporting almost $80,000 for the upcoming year from over 100 dividend generating stocks, the month of Sept generated $4,700 for the month expecting over $6,000. I took two photos on the last trading day after the close of what Schwab was reporting.. The 1st photo showed $3,500 received, $2500 due. The 2nd photo during the weekend showed $3500 received and $0 due. Both photos sent to Schwab are being sent to the ***. Three days later the received was increased to $4,700. No month since and including March of thids year have come with even 15% oof the last day summmed to be recieved. The **** seems to be intentionally INCORRECT / grossly inflated and transferring $millions of dollars per month from customer accounts to **************************************************** line, is I suggest no customer should use ********************************************* if your intention is to create and accurately messure your monthly dividends as $80,000 reportede is less than $60,000.Review from Evan Y

I opened a schwab account about a month ago with the intention of using the thinkorswim app for my trading purposes. Today I opened the app to transfer funds into the account and it tells me I need to call to verify my login. After a time on the phone they proceed to to tell me that my account has been closed. I asked why that was and was told they were not disclosing the reason and that I am not allowed to apply for any other schwab accounts. Very unimpressed with this and would like to get it resolved as I think they have a good product. Too bad the customer service doesn't match it.Review from Margaret N

Ive been a loyal Schwab client for 15 years. Schwab has profited handsomely from my money (7 figures). I had just completed transferring over 3 SIZABLE accounts from ETrade to consolidate my assets at one place and chose Schwab for this. BIG MISTAKE. All of a sudden the very same day that the transfers were completed, I get 4 letters from Schwab saying they are closing ALL my (>15) accounts and refused to provide a reason stating it was a business decision. They gave me less than 30 days to move all my accounts out and after just 13 days restricted all my accounts from trading except for liquidations. ****** ******* at Schwabs ********************* was the perpetrator who instigated this business decision. He threatened to liquidate all my positions (in all my non-retirement AND retirement accounts) and hit me with HUGE tax consequences. ****** ******* had it out for me and could care less about me or all my loyalty to the firm for well over 1-1/2 decades (likely longer than hes even been with Schwab). In fact he was aggressively trying to sabotage my portfolio.I have learned from this that:1. Schwab goes overboard to protect themselves while taking advantage of their loyal clients who are the sole source of their existence 2. Schwab doesnt give a c*** about YOU their client and disregards YOU and treats YOU like garbage giving YOU zero respect or consideration once they decide they are done with YOU. And if theyre not done with you yet, they will discreetly take advantage of you by earning money on YOUR money to fatten their pockets by paying you a mere 0.45% interest while they cash in 5.3% interest on YOUR hard earned cash!3. Schwab will go into your account and take over and liquidate positions and debit your account if they have it out for you with no justification and when you call to inquire, they say they have the power and its their right to do whatever they feel is necessary to protect themselves at the cost of their ******************************** *****Review from Tamar O

I am unable to access my bank account, and my debit card was cut off. I am unable to buy anything. I called my online bank. They did not help or answer my question. The next day, I was again unable to use my debit card. Then I tried to buy at another online store, and the card was again declined. I went to my online bank account, and was told that I cannot have access to my bank account. I called my bank. The bank worker said, with a mean voice, that I cannot use my debit card or login to my bank account, and must visit a physical branch office in-person. Charles Schwab Bank is 100% online, not hybrid, with no physical bank office. None of Schwab's physical investment offices provides any banking service. She put me on hold and no one came to the phone, so I eventually hung up. The next day, I was still unable to get to my online bank account. I called Schwab Bank. With intensely fierce rudeness, the bank worker boldly said that she was absolutely sure that I must go into a physical Schwab branch and she also said, I cannot tell you why. I asked to speak with a higher level supervisor, and was told, “We’re requiring you to go into a physical branch to verify yourself, and cannot tell you why.” The bank has no “feedback” online form, and no feedback email address, so there is no method to complain. There was nothing that I did, nothing that I said, and nothing that happened that I am aware of, that could cause anyone to imagine that there is something wrong with me. I am cut off from my money. I cannot use my debit card, so I cannot buy food or gas. Their closest branch office is too far away. It is an online bank.
