Took the car to myers auto on old ************. In ************** tax. And had it towed to the shop on 9/29/23 and was told it needed a new motor and we said we wanted to keep our motor to have it rebuilt in time so we could use it. He sold it and took 9 months to change this motor and all along he couldnt get it in the shop to have it worked on . Its been a nightmare going down there over and over to find out that he cant get the motor he chose to run correctly. Very frustrating. On top of that a used vehicle was borrowed in the process and lots of wear and tear on that vehicle. Its not even drivable for the paraplegic owner of the used vehicle. All that time and wear and tear on this vehicle to only find out that he could not fix the car. Had replaced parts that were put on brand new before he possessed the vehicle for 9 months. The car runs so rough and runs hot and when we decided to get the car from him after he admitted he could not fix the car .He Prepped the car for us to take . the rough running, no idling , piece of junk after he worked on it. And none of the fluids were at operational use. The motor was making so much noise. Now the only thing that was wrong with the car was that it needed a replacement motor. There were no other problems with the wiring. Or any of the other excuses he made for the car not running right with this new motor. I havent been able to keep a job due to not having a vehicle to get back and forth with a car that should have been fixed. My mother has been in the hospital. On her death bed. Bleeding out. Low blood pressure. *********. And other issues and I cant make it to her without renting a car for several days. And without a job thats hard.. Ive gone through so much h*** with this matter. I want my money back for everything that was spent to fix this car and it not be right at all. Its the worst service Ive ever got from anyone. 3700$ has been paid for parts that were already brand new. And defected in some way!Business response

It response to this complaint I have several witnesses to the actions and harrasements from *** and ******. I was presented a car that was towed in, locked up and hasn't ran in some time. The original agreement was to repair the car to run. First another engine was needed as the current motor was locked up and when inspected was found to have metallic throughout oil pan and lifter valley. Being a 97 lt1 engine it was difficult to source a used lower mileage engine due to availability of an almost 20 year old vehicle. A crate engine was priced out of their budget. But after some searching I obtained a relatively low milage engine. Me and my crew installed engine and all removed components and car ran but found engine surging due to no crank signal to ecm. We diagnosed car and found engine was properly timed and condition was due to either a bad ecm or engine harness wiring which was not it great shape to begin with. Which by this point customer was already being irrationally and vehicle was released to customer unfinished.... Now if this complaint doesn't get dropped or wants to take further action. I can produce proof of money still owed towards repairs. Money loaned to customer as draws, harrasments towards me and my employees alone with other unprofessional actions that were witnessed by myself, employed, and fellow customer during multiple visits to my shop by *** and ******. I released this car to them at a loss due to money and labor still owed over the additional time spent beyond the engine replacement with the promise from them that this wasn't no fault one either of us and just a poor decision to spend excessive money into a vehicle. But now I'm having to spend more of my time and money dealing with this complaint.
Sincerely
***** Myers owner

Broke down a mile or 2 away from Myers Auto. My 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer needed a new water pump due to overheating. The mechanic said he would replace it with a new one, as well as the refill the coolant. At the end of the job, the truck seemed ok. After about a week, it started to over heat again. Opened the hood to find loose screws, fan shroud loose, and wires shredded by the fan clutch. After reaching out to the shop, I was greeted with a hostile man who told me that I would've paid more anywhere else I would've went. Although money was not the issue, they continued to email me this: " Dear ****** the connector you are referring to in the picture only clips to fan shroud. If it vibrated out I'm sorry to hear that. But there are no screws that hold that connector to fan shroud. I'd be more than happy to replace you fan clutch for you if you would like to return for repairs free of cost. I assure you no bolts were left out do to sabotage or ill intentionally. Kevin ***** Myers Auto Diesel." I was about 2 hours away from the shop, they didn't offer a tow or a solution that would actually help my none drivable truck to them. I have had no other contact with them since. Took my truck to a new mechanic and was told a series of things. My shroud fan was reinstalled wrong, the coolant fan wasn't properly tightened, the water pump was used/bad, as well as a clip on my power steering tube was moved. I have pictures, videos, and statements from said mechanic as well as the parts that were put on my vehicle. I would just like my money back as well as the money I had to use to get to and from other mechanics and body shops to fix their mistake.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/30) */ Contact Name and Title: Kevin *****, Owner Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ************@gmail.com Monday morning, 09/26/22 was presented w/a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer for repairs by a young man, Chad Johnson. Was told by customer vehicle overheated while traveling Sunday night & had stayed overnight @ a near by gas station. I took vehicle in without appointment due to his situation. When vehicle was pulled into service bay for diagnosis, found vehicle was extremely hot due to short drive with no coolant in system. Found water pump bearing failure causing excessive coolant loss. Advised customer of needed repairs & total cost of parts & labor. Repaired vehicle using NEW water pump, 1 gallon of Dexcool coolant and NEW serpentine drive belt due to coolant saturation and belt condition. Customer waited in lobby while repairs were completed, paid for services with credit card over the telephone from an ****** ******. Customer left satisfied and continued his trip to DFW area. On 10/13/22 was left a VERY harsh voicemail on the company phone from an ****** ****** that started immediately with threats to sue due to damages from our repairs. I called customer to discuss the harsh voicemail that was left & was accused of leaving screws out of fan shroud, loose wiring & also putting used parts on vehicle. I advised Mrs. ****** that ALL parts were new from parts store, every component removed from vehicle for repairs were replaced & secured with original hardware that vehicle was presented with and no bolts or screws were left off after repairs. Also asked customer to send detailed pictures thru the company email of damages found. I was emailed 5 pictures of the electro-magnetic fan clutch harness that had been cut due to contact with fan blade. I called customer back after viewing damages & told customer that the harness most likely vibrated loose and contacted fan causing damage. I told her we would be more than happy to repair fan clutch free of cost. Customer stated harness was intentionally left loose and screws were missing from harness. I advised customer that the harness she was referring to only clips to fan shroud with retention tabs and no physical crews fasten the harness. Customer proceeded with threats of lawsuits and didn't seem to recognize my attempts to correct her concern. Later on 10/17/22 after the BBB complaint was filed, I called customer and spoke with both **** and ****** to ask if a resolution could be had so we could both resolve this issue. I offered to credit back complete repair and asked about removing the complaint since it was full of false statements. I was told by Chad, "If you throw in a little extra money I will ask ****** to take down her complaint" Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/11/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) On 10/13/2022, was the first attempt to contact with Myers Auto. On 10/14/2022, I sent an email to Corrina *****, email listed in files below. After not hearing from Myers Auto, I tried to call, leave voicemails, and email. On 10/17/2022, they finally called after the BBB sent them my complaint. We discussed how the cost for repairs would be sent in a check. Apart of the the discussion we cut the amount paid for repairs done in order to fix Myers Auto Mistakes in half and Asked if they would honor that. We gave our address, and was told it was going to be there soon. On 10/25/2022, we called asking if they had the correct address, seeing as we have not obtained any type of check. On 10/26/2022, got a call from Mike, Myers Auto, saying they had the correct address and it should be there within the next couple days. On 10/31/2022, we called again because no check had been received. Had a few minute long conversation where we were told the check was never sent, because the wife, Corrina, was not comfortable sending the check without the complaint taken down. In which they failed to communicate with us, until it was too late. I have tried to be reasonable, cordial, and have only been given excuses. I'm not understanding why they don't want to come to an agreement. I have tried through phone, email and now the BBB. I told them if they could not fix this issue where it would lead. I have documents, pictures, statements from mechanics that helped fix Myers Autos Mistakes, as well as the parts that were put on my car.
