    Two years ago I got a PS4 brand new from Easy Furniture when I opened it up it did not work. I took it back to the store and they said I could use a used PS4 while they fixed my brand new PS4. I waited for about six months and I have been paying the brand new price so I asked them since I had a PS4 the used one it was working just fine if I could be reimbursed because I had been paying for the new one, but I have the used one and they refuse to do that. They said I could do a new contract and I lost out on all that money I have used Rent to own before not this company. I have a couch with them right now and an Xbox and a computer and they have been harassing me. They will not let me out of my contract. They said that I had to pay at least three months for the computer and the Xbox, but they have been dishonest about the PS4 the other Rent-A-Center that I had used in St. George that closed down if something like this would’ve happened all the money that I had been paying for a used product would’ve been added back to my account. I feel like they are being very dishonest and every time I try to tell them I want to talk with corporate they will not let me they said I can email them the St. George location and the problem never goes away so this is why I’m reaching out to the Better Business Bureau. I want to re-reimbursed what they are doing is very dishonest. What I would like for them to do is the money that I paid for the new PS4 when I had the used one should be added to my account so that I don’t owe so much for the things I have at their store, I am a single mom and they are being very dishonest or I like them to look and see how much I paid and call it good on me not paying on the other items if it adds up to being about the same amount.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    They have chose not to resolve to apologize to do a refund. I did this complaint over how long ago and they still have not looked into it. I feel like there needs to be actions taken so other people do not go through this to be so dishonest for me to pay for a new item and have a used item and then not be refunded or put towards my account was not OK I ended up finally Returning the couch, the Xbox and the computer because of everything they put me through. Again, like I’ve said when I’ve tried to talk with corporate before I had to use Better Business Bureau. It would always refer me back to the St. George location. It would never let me be able to talk to corporate. This kind of company should not be in St. George. I’m not the only one that feels this way I know a lot of people have gone through bad experiences with this company the dishonesty is not OK. To call from three different phones and text me multiple times a day, threatening me and telling me that they’re gonna contact everybody and they’re gonna contact lawyers if I don’t respond and when I did respond, they continue to harass me. I asked them to please leave me alone that they could come pick up the stuff up at a certain time that I would be home And they continue to text me when I ask them to please stop the professionalism and customer service is unacceptable at this establishment. Then they continued to tell me that I would never be a customer, and I told him that I was fine with that, but this was the first time I had canceled my contracts. I have paid off a couch, a computer and a PS4. I used PS4 with them. But it’s not worth using them again

    In response to the said complaints in ********-*****

    We have sufficient evidence and two signed contracts that both state the Original PS4 was infact new. The reason that it became non functional is due to damage that was determined that it was in fact due to neglect and abuse. When she had returned it back into us there was sufficient damage from some kind of sticky liquid spilt on and inside of the gaming system. Although our service warranty that is stated on all of our contracts that we do not cover this type of neglect or abuse, we still replaced it with a working USED Ps4 that she would be able to use because she was a long standing customer. It is also important to note the this customer breached our contract in several ways and on many different occasions after said incident, such as moving the rental product from her reported residence and neglected to give us the new residence address where the property would be without prior written consent and returning said item when the rental period expired and she refused to continue payments to pay off the contract. I also want to note that this specific incident is from the year 2021.

    As of 02/01/2024 ez furniture location where I make my payments was closed and my account was moved to a location in west valley I was not informed of change until February 29th when I made a payment over the phone of location moving. Now the employees at this new location are stating that my account has always been late and I am making payments on Thursday but they need to be made on Saturday because they do not accept payments on Thursday. They want me to pay extra to have my payments moved. I have always made my payments Thursday every week to fall on my pay day. This new location is also attempting to up my payment amounts. In formed them that is not what I have been paying. I have not had this problem with any other location. It is not my responsibility to pay more to fix the schedule when they made the mistake not me. I also refuse to pay a late fee when I was not informed of the store location being changed. It is the store’s responsibility to inform the customer of any changes like this. If I have been making payments on the wrong day but the other location me allowed it for years the new location can no penalize the customer. I have been a customer for 5 years never had an issue but this new location is causing problems. Spoke with an employee very rude said he was getting manager and never called me back refused to speak on phone. Did call back till a week later to ask for payment.

    I received a phone call this morning Feb 05, 2024 from EZ Furniture Sales & Leasing of West Jordan asking for a payment as the payment was due today. I let them know that I get paid in 4 days and would be happy to make the payment on Friday. I told them several times that I do not have any funds to make a payment today. I then spoke with the store manager whom was very unprofessional. After I told him that my intention is to just close the account and stop business with them since they cant work with the payment, he became irate. He said fuck you a couple of times then said that he wants us to come into the store location to see what he will do to us. I'm not okay with someone threatening physical harm and wont waste another penny. I've been with them since 2019 and am spending over $400/month. The level of service today by the manager was unprofessional. I want a full refund or billing adjustment

    I am always late due to them, when I have asked multiple times to align the payments with my checks, because i am a single mom who lives pay check to pay check and id actually be on time if they would just rearrange it to fit my payment schedule. And they refuse. They called me lazy, they told me to pay my stuff on time, and to get off my **** and we would not have a problem.

    Complaint reviewed.  This customer has made the last two payments on time.  When a new "Rental agreement" is initiated, it is our company policy to set up future due dates per what the customer requests and what the customer can pay.  Because "rental" payments are due in advance of the rental use, a customer can pay forward to the next renewal period.  In a similar way to a parking meter. To insure that our family of customers are always treated with respect, we record all of our phone conversations.  In reviewing this customers communications with our company, I can see no evidence of the derogatory remarks claimed in this complaint.  To be sure, I randomly selected many other customer calls to verify this location is operating with professionalism, courtesy and respect.  I was pleased that I found no issues.
