    I was a resident at 900 Factory for the 2023-2024 school year. Upon moving out I was provided with an statement displaying the amount they owed me (Refundable security deposit). Now almost 8 months later I still have not received any of it, despite calling them numerous times.

    Moved out August, 10 2024. My account says I am entitled to a $350 security deposit to be returned. I have this documented proof in my housing portal. I have not received any checks. I have called, emailed, and shown up in the office numerous time. More than 20 attempts to get my deposit. My requests are unanswered. The staff says, " we will forward your inquiry to the appropriate to person". No one calls or emails back. I called again today, and it was the same. They took my name and would not answer any of my questions or let me talk to whoever writes the checks.

    My daughter lived at The 900 Factory last year (23-24). We signed the lease and paid the rent in full for the year. The lease agreement and statement had the last day being Aug 10th. She has been expecting the deposit to be refunded and has checked in person multiple times We then received a statement on Sept 3rd that said her refund amount was $397.00 and then again on Sept 20th with a different amount or $327.00 but the refund deposit has not been paid (see attachments). I have called that last three days and spoke with them regarding the difference as well as when she could expect it. I have heard two different reasons for the difference, one that it was incorrect and she would be getting the original amount and then that they forgot to include a $150.00 cleaning fee and just charged everyone $70.00. I have left my number the last three days and was told that the manager would call me back. I have not heard back. We would like her to receive the deposit in full or a clear reason why. The last day on the lease was Aug 10, she has waited almost 2 months as today is Oct 2nd. The frustration is less about the delay and more about the poor communication. She was told it would be sent through the mail to our address or if she does not see it to check in the apartment office.

    On April 27, 2023, I moved out of my apartment after selling my contract to another student. The 900 Factory then automatically withdrew rent in the amount of $610.95 for the month of May. They. collected rent for the same room in May 2023 from me and the person who bought my contract. When I called to get my money returned they said it would take 4-6 weeks and if I hadn't received it by then to call back. I did not receive anything in the 4-6 weeks and called back. They then told me it would be 6-8 weeks and if I haven't received it by the end of June to call back. I didn't receive it and called again. They told me the check was processing and it would be coming soon. I called last week and they told me the check had been mailed out. I still haven't received anything. I was given a phone number for Mary Z******* at their corporate office. I have called Mary multiple times. Ms Z******* has never answered the phone. I have left multiple messages to have her call me and I have never received a return phone call. I am requesting I receive my rent and security deposit of $250. This is theft and I am looking at what the next steps are regarding Court action as they refuse to return my money or communicate with me.
