Website advertises genuine parts. They will look exactly like genuine GE parts, but if you let them know that they didn’t work they will tell you that you have to transfer the RFID chip from the old one to the new one. They are a fraud company selling counterfeit parts.

I purchased two GE Official XWFE water filters from this place. When I received them, I replaced them as directed by the enclosed instructions. When replaced, we received an ERROR message. Therefore, we call the GE repairman. Come to find out the filters sold to us were fake and require and RFID tag internal to the filter label. The filters appear to look like GE original, but when you look closely, the GE repair man pointed out the difference and these were not GE original parts as advertised. We want a full refund. I've emailed this place of business and yet to receive an answer back.

I purchased 2 water filters online on 12/28/23. I followed the directions for install. My fridge said error. The water filters look identical to my original water filter. I contacted the company and asked for a return label and refund. They responded with send us pictures of the problem. I sent pics of the error and the product. They responded with a hack video from you tube about moving the original chip from the original filter to the fake filter. The video was not even for my filter type that I ordered. I emailed them and asked for a refund again and they responded that they are accepting returns and can give 60-80% of my money back. They are selling products that don’t even work. I wish I read the other complaint on here bc it sounds like that same issue.

I purchased two replacement water filters online at ***************** on October 8, 2023. After receiving them, I attempted to replace the original water filter in my refrigerator with the replacement one. I followed the instructions per the pamphlet included in the box of the water filter. An error message appeared and I removed the replacement filter and re-inserted it to ensure it was inserted appropriately. Again, an error message appeared. I then tried the second replacement filter and the same thing occurred. Of note, besides the error message, the filter/water would not work, that is ice would not be made and water would not dispense. I initially thought it was my refrigerator not functioning properly, however I decided to buy a water filter from a local store. I inserted that replacement filter and no error message appeared and it was functioning as before with the original filter. I contacted CGwaterfilter to ask for a refund since both filters they sent me did not work. Please see the attached e-mail download with their responses. Essentially, their filters do not have a chip that is necessary in order for the filter to function. They explained this in the e-mail, however there is nothing on their website, nor within the pamphlet, that states to remove the original chip and transfer to the replacement filter. I would not have purchased these filters if I was aware of this missing chip. I believe this would be considered false advertising. Per the e-mails, I explained that I couldn't transfer the old chip to the replacement filter as I had thrown out the old filter, not aware I had to remove any chip. I have respectfully asked for a full refund, and they are only offering a 60% refund. False advertising on a product does not equate to 60% of a refund, from my perspective. They also have a "no-questions-asked" refund policy, however it does not seem they are abiding by that. Thank you for your time.
