            My good friend Lyndi and I took her kids down to see Arches NP on the 5-6 of Aug. 2024. We had a great time at the park and arrived at the Rodeway Inn late at night probably around 10:00 PM. We were tired from our trip and just wanted a place to unwind and relax. When we got to the Inn, we were greeted by a rude office attendant at the front desk without a name badge. He informed us that the pool (the reason we booked) was out of order and has been for months. He proceeded to tell us that it says so on their website, which it clearly says swimming pool. Lyndi looked it up on line right in front of him; and showed him there was nothing that says the pool was closed. He then lied saying that because it doesn’t specifically say that the pool is operational that means that it is closed. He then proceeded to say that he compensated us for the pool being closed by giving me, a single guy, a room with two beds. What am I going to do with two beds! He kept insisting that, I upgraded you; however both rooms were exactly the same; yet different prices. He would not honor the cost; even though I had ordered a room with a king size bed. The ice machine was also broken, but I was talking to one of the maids that morning and she said that it could just be unplugged and that it has been that way for months. All of this, and I still haven’t commented about the state of our rooms. To summarize, the towels were not washed, there was mold in the shower, the plaster was falling of the walls in the bathroom there were holes in the blankets, and what was disgusting was that there was blood on one of the pillows on my bed. In my friends room, light bulbs were missing, the outlets didn’t work, and the room was not up to par. It was NOT a family type atmosphere for her and the kids. We made a formal complaint to management and nothing was done and don’t want others to go through this and recommend this place be checked out. It’s not up to code.
