On May 4, 2022, BBB requested that Deluxe Carpet Cleaning substantiate, modify, or discontinue the Warranties or Guarantees claim of “100% Satisfaction Guaranteed” and “That is why we provide free estimates for any job, large or small, and guarantee our work,“ made on the company's website at https://www.utahdeluxecarpetcleaning.com/ and https://www.utahdeluxecarpetcleaning.com/about-us.
The BBB Code of Advertising states that “when using the term ‘warranty’ or ‘guarantee’ the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale which could include putting it on the seller’s website. Advertisers should disclose any material limitations on a ‘satisfaction guarantee’ or ‘money back guarantee’ and define, for consumers, the meaning of claims such as ‘lifetime guarantee.’”
