This dealership falsified paperwork, charged fees illegally and admittedly, attached incorrect paperwork regarding the temporary registration, admitted to charging fees that are unnecessary, told me that there was a $2000.00 fee that the financial institutions requirement then admitted to lying about that later, had the vehicle repossessed illegally without a court order and did not follow through with the financing information as required.

On October 21st 2023 I bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 92, 342 miles from Torres Automotive. I put $7,000 cash down & financed the remainder along with an extended warranty. On 10/23 the check engine light came on. I let them know & took it in to get the code. It said cylinder 5 had a misfire. Torres told me to bring it back to them & they would have the mechanic fix it & make things right. After driving 3.5hrs we waited for 3hrs for them to tell us their mechanic didn't have time & gave us new spark pugs & said "Anyone mechanically inclined can put these in" & sent us home. November 5th the light came back on with the same code. On 11/13 it would not start, it was dead in my driveway. I purchased an extended warranty & let them know. They told me what shop it had to go to so we had it towed there. The mechanic said cylinder 5 was full of coolant & it needs a new motor. They wanted a 2nd opinion & told me it needed to go to another shop of their choice. That shop said the motor was fine. Torres called my husband & stated the shop put a new wiring harness in & that was the problem not the motor. I went to get it on 12/8 & they let me know they put a starter in along with 2 gallons of coolant. I paid the bill & went to leave & the check engine light was on. They told me it was fine & they just forgot to clear the code. Exactly 2 weeks later on 12/22 the check engine light was back on with the same code. I'm certain Torres Automotive knew there was a problem with the vehicle & sold it anyways. The 1st mechanic stated the last person that worked on it knew there was an issue because they were "chasing a problem." There was a new water pump, fuel filter and spark plugs. Torres automotive has lied to me from day one. I would like to report them for fraud, selling a bad vehicle, the lemon law, anything I can go after them for. If there is anyone that can help me in any way I would greatly appreciate it. I have proof of text messages, printouts etc. Thank you!
