We signed up for solar energy through US Renewables in February 2023. US Renewables then sold the contract to Eleanor Electric (USR misrepresented that they would be doing the whole project themselves, but that's a separate complaint). Eleanor Electric partially installed the panels in May of 2023, and left the remaining pieces of equipment to be installed with us. We've been trying to get someone to finish the installation every since without any luck. The financing went through Meriwest with Enium managing the loan. On May 13, 2024, we contacted Meriwest and learned that they never actually financed the loan, so we didn't owe them any money. We then reached out to Enium to try to find out the status there, and received what appeared to be an automated email back saying we would be contacted within 7 business days. We never heard back from that request for contact, but then received an email thanking us for setting up our automated payments on May 30th. We immediate called the number listed in the email (###-###-####), and spoke with a rep there. She told us there was nothing she could do to help us understand the situation, and that we needed to email the company through the website. We explained that we already tried that an no one got back to us. She said she made some notes on out account but again said we needed to go through the website. She gave us a very specific link to go to follow-up, but it didn't work. It's now June 25th and we have no more clarity on the issue than we did when we first initiated contact. The only difference is that we are now being charged for the system that was never fully installed (and likely never will be). We just want this system gone so we can move forward with another solar company, but we're stuck in an infinite loop.Business response

As an update to this matter, we have reached out to the borrower, *********** ***** with the following email on June 26, 2024:
Hello *********** and *********,
We acknowledge your concerns regarding your solar system. As your chosen installer is no longer able to address these concerns satisfactorily, we are stepping in to help and are currently seeking a new contractor to see your project to completion. Updates will be provided to you as we receive them. Please keep in mind that Enium is neither your solar installer nor your lender, but we are here to help get your project completed. Because this is the case, please understand that we may not be able to fulfil all of the promises your initial solar installer made you, but we are committed to your satisfaction and providing you with an excellent experience going forward.
Respectfully,
Kind regards,
Enium Support TeamThe loan is currently in DEFER status and no payments are made or expected during this time. The payments will not begin until the system is fully installed and working. When we have more information, we will update the borrower and the BBB.
Thank you,

I sold my house and the title company sent a payoff amount for $53,261.78 and the check was cashed on June 18th by Enium. Enium is calling me everyday wanting the money and saying the check has not posted to my account but maybe they gave me the wrong address. Now I owe 53,264.20 which is only $2.42 but they need to write that off. It's not my problem they gave me the wrong address and have taken weeks to post the check. This company has been an absolute pain to deal with. I'm trying to pay them off and be done and now they have lost this check. I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for a supervisor. I'm fed up!!!!! I need help dealing with them. They need to find the funds that they lost, post it to my account, write off the extra interest, show my account as paid in full, and apologize. This is not the only issue I have had but I don’t have time to write about the other 50 issues they have caused. I just want to be done.Business response

Thank you for your patience in this matter. We have obtained a copy of the cashed check from First American Title Company. It appears to have been deposited by Launch Servicing on June 17, 2024. I have given Launch a copy of the check so they can investigate the deposit and find out where it was deposited and why it was not credited to *******'s account. The investigation is ongoing. The minute I find out any news I will let ******* know and inform the Title Company. I will also update the BBB on this site. Launch Servicing is the 3rd Party loan servicer for the funding companies, in this case Spokane Teacher's Credit Union. The Title Company is unable to locate the address they sent the check to. The reason this is important is because Launch has an address for payments located in Dallas, Texas, and correspondence address is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
We are actively working to getting this taken care of for ******* and finding out what happened with Launch and the check. Thank you for your patience at this time.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded the request onto Launch Servicing and they will be reaching out to you soon to set you up with paper billing. I also requested they work with you on any late fees. Unfortunately when you requested the loan payments be by mail (paper) with the solar dealer, they are unable to arrange that request. They should have reached out to the lender and let them know.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or additional needs, please feel free to reach out.

Have had a project in the works for almost 2 years now and it hasn't been completed. Can not contact lead and lead hasn't contacted me since December of last year.Project is installation of solar panels. Before the loss of contact they kept delaying the process over and over. Have already sent in a complaint form approximately 2-3 months ago and nothing has been done.Business response

To whom it may concern;
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand the issues highlighted and are committed to resolving them promptly. We have been working with ************** since we first heard his system was not finished in 2023. In May of 2023, we reached out to the solar company for a status update on his system to which the solar company stated they would reach out to the customer and provide an update. ************** was working with Revolution for reimbursement on his loan payments he had made prior to the system operating.
Lengths of time would pass before we were told it still was not operating and he was making payments. As the matter was ongoing, and issues were not resolved, we had his case and system completion reassigned to another contractor this April. Once a contractor was finalized (this took time), we informed ******* of the update right away.
The following email was sent June 14, 2024:
Hello *******,
We have identified a contractor in your area who will be assisting you in the completion of your solar project.
BL Electric will be in contact with you to coordinate the next steps in getting your solar system fully operational.
If you have any questions regarding the installation or equipment, BL Electric will be able to address those for you.
Sincerely,
Enium ****************************** will assist in completing the solar system until it is fully operational. **************, please let us know if they contact you or not so we can provide assistance. In the meantime, if you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and will do our best to help facilitate the process. We are fully committed to finding a solution for **************.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

I am rejecting this response because: It has been 2 years for the contractor to finish said project. I need some kind of reimbursement at least for said issues due to the fact that the solar panels would of had help with energy bills. Due to them not being installed in a timely manner I've missed out on that savings. I honestly don't want anything to do with either company and would rather split wholesale from both in this process.

In may 2023 I talked to resolutionary solar who sold me system totaling $49,000 has just finally been cut up and made operational and its been a full year now theyre saying that my payments will be $300 a month instead of the 200 that we were told to stand revolutionary solar is out of business. They were the ones that help me get the financing and I was supposed to carry the warranty for my solar system. but they were not truthful and everything. They said they were going to put so many panels on our garage so many panels on our house. Well, they all got put on the garage after they said it wasnt strong enough to hold them. there are many problems that I am having with this company.Business response

Dear *****,
Thank you for your email. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience youve experienced.
Reassignment:
Weve identified a local contractor, BL Electric, who will assist you in completing your solar project. They will be in touch to coordinate the next steps.
If you have any questions about installation or equipment, BL Electric will address them.Solar Panels and Design:
The original design plans specified all 14 solar panels on the garage, not split between buildings.
The borrower signed off on satisfactory completion based on the plans.Loan Payment:
Payment amounts are clearly listed on the Promissory Note with Genisys Credit Union.
The lower amount she mentioned is if state rebates and federal tax credits are applied to the loan balance.
In April we advised her to consult her tax advisor for the federal tax credit.Solar Warranty:
The installer didnt enroll them in the Solar Insure program.
The cost of Solar Insure will be deducted from her total loan amount.Although we are not your primary solar company, we remain committed to resolving your concerns. Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Enium paid money to fraudulent Solar installers. Worked with them to undermine the loan saying the installers "will reimburse you for payments until the system is running". It's been two years, my solar system is a fire hazard and danger to my home. Enium gave ***** to unlicensed electricians. Now they refuse to return calls, refuse to nullify the voided loan, and continue to charge me for defunct solar equipment. Enium Capital Group are liars, thieves and will put you in a vice without remorse. I will be finding an attorney who will take the fight to you. How dare you take money for a broken agreement. Now I'm paying double, I was told my payments would stop until resolution could be reached. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Go elsewhere for your lending needs. This company will commit fraud, lie, and abuse you as a consumer.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Enium has not paused my loan payments. Instead you hiked them up to $253. Enium refuses to provide the documents that USACEA and Revolution Solar submitted to start the loan. Enium is only committed to keeping the poorly designed and not functioning solar array on my property, and to keeping me in a defunct and voided loan agreement. It is illegal for you to start the loan terms when the array is incomplete. It is illegal for Enium to respond with "Revolution Solar will reimburse you for loan payments made before the array is functional." Enium is a crooked capital group refusing to operate above board.Ill say again, Enium has been committed to locking me into a contract for services designed to fail (substantiated by the manufacturers), making sure I pay the most amount of money to them without rest, and to do anything but help me. At this time they only want me to resign a new loan and be locked to their business forever. Enium has lied to me time and time again. Now I'm supposed to trust this time you'll do it right?
Enium claims they are in communication with me. Which is true only after involving attorneys and the BBB website. You fired my first point of contact, ******. She had actually given me hope Enium might help. Then I spent weeks in silence and had to start the complaint process all over again. I showed several of your account managers and customer service that your complaint portal was a farce. I had to go over Enium to ******************** before Enium would reply to me.
Enium has done nothing but s**** me over and lie at every opportunity. My loan payments are not paused and you refuse to provide me with documents I've requested. So I am rejecting this response because it is not the truth. I look forward to hearing how Enium might help me. But as of this moment Enium has only:
Given money to sham Solar Installers that designed an array that would never work. Paid same installers to do the work which is currently a fire hazard connected to my home. Started loan payments before the array was functional; voiding their own contract. Refused to pause loan payments when provided with proof of Solar array status from the manufacturer. Now attempts to lock me into a new agreement disguised as "help". All signing a new loan does is make sure I have to work with this company for the next 30 years. I ask you, genuinely, do you think this is the definition of assistance? Is it good business practice? If you were in my position would you sign on the line? I doubt it.
Sincerely,

Complaint: 21841370
I am rejecting this response because: the payments I was assured would cease are still continuing for defunct and dangerous equipment. They seem only interested in making me sign a new loan for the equipment. You voided your agreement with me the moment payments started with equipment that didn't function, wasn't inspected, and wasn't designed correctly. I was told that Revolution Solar and USACEA would "reimburse" me for loan payments that shouldn't have started at all. For over a year you've been compounding interest on goods and services that don't work. I would encourage someone who can make decisions and change fraudulent loans to call me.As it stands, you are still charging me for defunct equipment and are trying everything to make me sign a new loan. Why would I do this? So you can lock me into a contract you haven't already voided? So I can start having more interest added? You've offered nothing in terms of reparations for your fraud and deceit. I want every dollar I've paid you deducted from the loan amount without interest. I want every cent of interest removed and you can take that number and reduce the principal by the corresponding amount. I want any costs associated with getting the array functional to reduce the principal of the loan by that much. These are the minimal damages you've caused me. The minimal reparations for the danger you financed on my home. The bare minimum in making things right to me. You were fine giving my money to scam installers, and trying to force them into covering your fraud with reimbursement payments. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,

To whom it may concern,
I hope this email finds you well. After careful internal review, I would like to address Mr. ******* recent claims and provide further context regarding our interactions with him.
1. Reimbursement for Payments During System Installation: **************** alleges that we promised reimbursement for payments until the solar system was operational. However, our records do not reflect any such commitment. To assist ****************,we kindly request any written documentation or communication specifically referencing this reimbursement.
2. System Condition and Installation: **************** asserts that the equipment is defunct and poses a fire hazard. Contrarily, we have made multiple attempts to complete the installation. We offered flexibility by allowing him to choose an alternative contractor at no cost. Unfortunately, **************** has declined both options.
3. *********************************** has not engaged in fraud. **************** signed a legal contract with the solar dealer and ******************** for project funding. Despite this, he refuses to allow anyone to finalize the project, citing fraud. The system malfunction leading to breaker trips was not identified during the final inspection by the *** or the utility company, which subsequently granted permission to operate (PTO).
4. Continuing Payments: Again, our records do not support Mr. ******* claim that payment cessation would occur. We successfully negotiated with ******************** to restart the loan once the system is fixed. The re-amortization process will lower monthly payments, considering federal tax credits or other advances applied to the balance.
5. Payment Adjustments: The payment structure is outlined in the ******************** Consumer Promissory Note and Security Agreement. While we cannot predict individual tax status, the table in the Note provides best-case scenarios. Re-amortization occurs twice: during the initial promotional period and 120 days after. The goal is to reduce payments over the loan term.
6. New Loan Signing: Contrary to Mr. ******* claim, we have no record of requiring him to sign a new loan. The original loan will resume once the system is fixed.
7. Reparations and Our Role: Enium Capital Group is committed to assisting borrowers affected by the closure of Revolution Solar. We refute any fraud allegations.Unfortunately, specific reparations beyond our current efforts are beyond our authority.
8. Assistance with Solar System Issues: **************** alleges that Enium has repeatedly misled or lied to him. However, our commitment has been unwavering. Despite not being the solar dealer, we have dedicated ourselves to resolving all his solar system-related concerns. Our efforts include locating a suitable local contractor for installation. Once we identified one, we promptly informed ***************. Our extensive notes demonstrate ongoing communication.
9. Communication and Complaints: Contrary to Mr. ******* claim, we have consistently communicated with him even before any formal complaints were filed. Our timeline and recorded phone lines confirm this:
April: 7 different emails or calls
May: 7 different emails or calls
June: 5 different emails or calls
The Michigan Attorney General complaint was filed on 5/10/2024, and we received it on 6/20/2024. The BBB complaint arrived on 6/13/2024. Thus, Mr. ******* assertion that we only engaged after legal involvement is inaccurate.10. Continuity of Service: While Brookes departure occurred, our commitment remains consistent. We treat all clients, including ****************, with respect and attention during this challenging transition caused by the dealers closure.
Enium continues to assist all affected clients diligently. If **************** has any written documentation or communication supporting any of his claims, it would assist us in addressing some of these issues. When there are other developments, we will update the BBB and **************** accordingly.Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Respectfully,
Enium Support Team***********************

Complaint: 21841370
I am rejecting this response because: While I can appreciate your positions the simple fact is you prematurely paid scam installers to do work. You've refused my inquiries into the "proof" Revolution Solar provided you to show their work was complete. I have statements from the manufacturer that show the design was faulty from the start. This means you've been compounding interest on a loan who's terms were not met in good faith. Then you've punished me financially for over a year. Revolution spoke on your behalf and you backed their work. I have many messages and emails with previous USACEA and Revolution Staff that said this is how Enium gets away with starting loan terms before solar projects had passed inspection. My complaints are that you are not operating in a means that are in line with good business. Speaking to your "we communicate with ****************", I would urge you to check again. I spent 3 months trying to get regular contact about my problems. Then a couple of months of communication, but It has been over a month since anyone has replied to anything except this BBB complaint line. I've sent multiple inquiries and I am being flat out ignored. I am not satisfied with your response. It is my hope Enium will acknowledge their poor business practice in this matter. Starting a loan after paying to sham installers and passing the financial burden of that on to the consumer is unacceptable. The payments should stop or be paused because the terms of the loan have never been met on your end. I will allow the array to fixed when: All interest you've been calculating since 4/4/23 is removed. When the amount of money I have paid you so far is taken away from the principal without interest. When my payments are reduced to their initial rate in the promotional period and when I have spoken to the new Solar Servicer. I am asking you to give me a fair attempt at meeting loan terms after Enium gave money prematurely to liars. I would still like to see the documentation USACEA and Revolution Solar submitted when they lied about the status of my array.
Sincerely,

May 29, 2024 We purchased solar panels from Kin Home. They went thru Enium. We were approved. The next day we decided not to go thru with the purchase. Things didnt seem right. We are within the three day cancellation period. We reached out to Enium to cancel the loan before we reached out to Kin Home. Enium would not respond. I tried all their phone options but the only person that responded was the payment person. She tried to reach Enium as well and got the same response I did. She asked me what the ************ was on the papers we signed. I told her and she transferred me to that credit union and gave me their number. On November 2022 I agreed to get solar panels. When we sat down to discuss how much my monthly payments were going to be he said it was going to be $190/month. He also said i was going to get back guaranteed ****** on my tax return. That was not true. It all depends on your financial situation so not everyone gets the full credit. So far I have received zero. So this made my payment go up $100 a month. Second part is that due to an issue with Southern California ****** having my wrong service address by one digit they wont approve my application for permission to operate. So since January 2023 to present day i have been producing energy but getting zero credit on my electricity bill. So now Im having to pay my electricity bill plus the solar panels bill putting me in a financial crunch and falling behind. This is also affection my credit score. *** tried to talk to ************************************************** and even the city of ********* to resolve the address issue and no one can help me. Enium should have done their dull diligence to make sure there wasnt going to be any issues with Southern California ******. They said everything was handled on their end they just needed a bill which i provided several times. Im paying for a solar panel loan that is not giving me what they promised it was going to give me. A lower electricity bill.Business response

Enium has been working with the borrower, *************************** since January 29, 2024 as well as her dealer. It appears that the application with the power company SCE was rejected because SCE had her address wrong by one digit. We had the correct address. ******** was trying to work with the city of ********* but also got the runaround. The dealer was trying to help but the borrower would not respond to their attempts. They requested a current utility bill and did not receive it until Feb. 6, 2024. They worked on getting this cleared up with the power company.
On February 6, 2024, the dealer informed us that the issue with the address could only be cleared up by the homeowner. The system cannot be issued the *** "Permission to Operate" from SCE until the address is cleared.
February 27, 2024, we emailed ******** and explained it all again and supplied ******** with the ************* number with SEC.
April 19, 2024, BBB Complaint was opened.
April 19, 2024, our team emailed the dealer, requesting that they do the following:
* Could you please reach out to the customer to confirm with them that we are not a solar installation company; that we can't assist in any project getting ***?
* With how long this customer has struggled to get the correct address to PG&E, would you and your team help this customer get *** and interconnection?
* Please provide us with updates as soon as possible,as this is now a BBB complaint.
He attempted to call the customer; the call went to voicemail. He stated that we are not the solar company, yet we are willing to assist the customer with her concerns; requested that she call us back.April 19, 2024, we reached out to the dealer and they informed us that Customer called the *** and SCE and the *** just sent her a verification letter but SCE has not gotten back to her. The dealer advised she would reach out to SCE and let them know of the certification letter she got. ***** uploaded verification docs and sent email to SCE.
We have not been able to reach the customer as of this date to find out if they are operational with the power company, or to even see if she fixed the address change.

We applied for a loan and purchase order for the installation of solar panels on June 10, 2023. This lending organization dispersed $14,597.26 to the installer on August 29, 2023. We were told by the salesperson who came to our home that we would not be liable for any payment until the installation was completed and that final paperwork would be signed at that time. The installation was expected to be done in September or October. When this did not occur we contacted the salesperson several times who told us we needed to be patient. My husband has electronically contacted the complaints department at **** twice with no response. We were told in February ************************************* the next 3 or 4 weeks. To date we have received no information initiated from the installer nor Enum. We contacted Enum today April 12, 2024 and determined that Enum dispersed the funds to ******** Electronics LLC (**, **,, **) who is not expected to be the installer. They are looking for an alternate installer at this time. We were also told that if we decided to not have the alternate company install the solar panels we would owe an undetermined amount of penalty fees. Needless to say that after all this, we are reticent to continue dealing with this chaotic process. And we are not interested nor willing to pay any fees if we decide to cancel.Business response

Enium has been working with the borrower since March 12, 2024, regarding the install in mid February. We reached out to the dealer for a resolution. In early April, we started the process of reassigning his account to a new dealer as we have had several issues with his current dealer that did his initial install.
On April 12, 2024, the borrower called in to our ************************ (CCD) with his wife. The notes read: ... [they] stated they are stranded customers with a non working solar system. I informed them that *** had sent a follow up email yesterday with reassignment information. He than asked me what if he no longer wanted to move forward, I stated if he wants the cancellation would be an option and whatever cancellation process is in his contract would take place. I emailed him a copy of his loan documents and contract and verified he received them after he reviews the cancellation information on his contract he will call to let us know how he would like to move forward.
The BBB complaint was opened on April 12, 2024, the same day we were in contact with the borrower.
Our portal notes read as follows:
April 18, 2024:Customer called back and is still undecisive about cancelling his loan. He needs to talk to someone to be able to know all his options what each option entails.
April 26, 2024: Followed up with AM to call the customer about his cancellation. AM called but no response from the customer.May 3, 2024: Account Managers are trying to reach the client.Waiting for an update.
We have tried numerous times to reach the borrower but have been unsuccessful in contacting him.
The loan is currently in "DEFER" status with Launch, our third-party loan servicing company, so the customer is not required to make any payments until the system is fully installed and operational. Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint against the company ENIUM regarding their misleading promotional offer and subsequent failure to fulfill their promises. On [6/1/23. I engaged with ENIUM under the impression that I would receive a $20,000 credit from my tax return, which would enable me to lower my payments by 30% as per their promotion. As a senior citizen living on Social Security, I carefully considered this offer as a means to alleviate financial strain. However, upon completing my taxes, I discovered that I am ineligible to receive the promised $20,000 credit due to my fixed income status. This revelation has left me deeply disappointed and financially burdened. Contrary to the agreed terms, my payments are now set to be $431 instead of the $296 that was initially promised. This drastic increase in payment is unjustifiable, especially considering my limited income. I feel deceived by ENIUM's false assurances and now find myself struggling to meet my financial obligations. Therefore, I am requesting that ENIUM honor their commitment and credit the promised $20,000 to my account, ensuring that my payments remain at the agreed-upon rate of $296. This adjustment is crucial for me to manage my expenses within the constraints of my fixed income. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will thoroughly investigate this matter and take appropriate action to hold ENIUM accountable for their deceptive practices. I appreciate your attention to this issue and look forward to a swift resolution. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, ***** * ****Business response
