I believe I was grossly overcharged by Roto-Rooter of Southern ****. A clog and broken section of my sewer drain pipe was repaired at a cost of $13,962. Most of the work was performed by a backhoe operator and assistant while Roro-Rooter' s employee helped with a little shoveling and repair of the drain pipe. Once the clog was located at a cost of $1040, the actual work was the billed at $12,922. The work was performed in less than two working days. I requested a detailed invoice with the cost of the subcontractor (backhoe) itemized. I challenged the bill and Roto-Rooter discounted some fees, however they adamantly refused to give me the itemized invoice I requested. Until I can get an itemized invoice, I will continue to believe Roto-Rooter has grossly overbilled me. I contract the ************ ******************* but the only help was to allow me to file a complaint. So beware of Roto-Rooter of Southern ****, and chose a local, Mesquite plumber for your plumbing issues.

Roto Rooter of Southern Utah is unprofessional and should not be in the plumbing business. **** *** is extremely unprofessional and rude. Not a nice person. Because I decided to go with another plumbing company that was cheaper and offered better warranty service I chose to go with them. Roto Rooter quoted $879.00. His technician quickly took the manufacturer sticker off the tank and left before I could process the price of replacement of the hot water tank. In the meantime the more qualified plumber arrived and quoted a much cheaper price and better warranty for the hot water tank. I immediately called Roto Rooter to inform them I was going with the better plumber and asked to return the sticker. **** became irate and said "I already purchased the tank no way." I asked to return the sticker. ****** reponse "I will drop off the tank in your driveway you reimburse me for it plus a trip charge." Again I asked for my sticker back. ****** response was " you come and get the sticker if you want it, you are a nightmare and don't ever call be again for anything!" Ten minutes later the technician returned the sticker and sped off. The new plumber and two neighbors were standing in the garage listening to all of this immature behavior on ****** part. There have been several complaints about Roto Rooter on their price gouging, untimely arrivals and rudeness by other residents in this 55+ community. I called three different plumbers in the area just to compare and some were as much as $500.00 cheaper for replacing a fully warranted tank. I got the hot water tank replaced for the cost of labor only. I saved $300.00. Roto Rooter is a rip off and needs to be stopped for doing this to others.**** D
