I started the lease on my car in November of 2022 and I recently decided that I would like to pay the fees and exercise my early lease termination right that is clearly stated in the contract. When I called APG financial I was told there is no way to terminate my lease and that if I want to get rid of the car now I must foreclose on my car by stoping my payments and having them repossess or voluntarily repossessing the vehicle and that they will report it as a repossession to the credit bureaus. They have refused to give me an amount to end my lease. I acquired an attorney who reached out to get an amount to end the lease and I have emailed them and have heard nothing in return. I do not want to take them to court but if they refuse to honor the early termination section of the contract I will have to. I have tried calling and email and they will not cooperate or give me any information needed to exercise the early termination of the lease.

    Dear ***** *****,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. I apologize for any frustration you have experienced while trying to resolve this matter.
To address your concern, the fees mentioned in the event of repossession are standard procedures, should a vehicle be repossessed, either voluntarily or involuntarily. However, your contract should indeed include clear terms for early lease termination, and we want to ensure that those terms are honored appropriately.
Please allow us some time to review your case thoroughly. I will escalate your request to the appropriate team, and we will ensure that you receive a clear breakdown of any fees and the options available to you. We understand the importance of resolving this promptly and will do our best to provide you with an update as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate your continued efforts to work through this with us. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out directly, and we will assist you further.
    Sincerely,
    John K*******

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The manager called and told me what I said in my first complaint, she would not give me fees to end my lease. She told me that no matter what I could not end my lease early it would count as a voluntary repossession on my credit report if I terminated the lease. My attorney read the contract and said that the early termination would not be repossession on my credit report and it clearly states I can pay restocking fees and 3 base rent payments. I want to know what the fees associated with ending my lease are so that I can drop my car off and bring a check. My attorney and I have both sent the letter via email and we would like a response in writing ASAP. I have attached the letter for reference. I am making every attempt to settle this outside of court and would greatly appreciate communication and cooperation from your business.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****

I have been paying my car payment every payday. In January I notified APG that I had to change my payments because I started a new job. They required me to send in my paystubs so I did on February 8 they are just now changing my due dates, which only made me behind $67. well last night They came and repossessed the car last night. When I told the guy that I could get $150 while I was in the house he loaded the car up on the truck. Now today they are requiring me to pay a $300 prepossessed fee, on $67. now mind you on every payment I had to pay a late fee on every payment. All I want is my car back and for them to quit charging me for their lack of follow through.

    Business response

    Dear *************************,

It looks like we were able to get you the car back. The repossession fee is sitting in other charges, I see that we will need to be doing a due date changes as you are retiring shortly. Let us know and we can get you switched over to the right payment schedule moving forward.

    Thank you,

Per the lease contract I signed with company, I would owe $17,429.84 at end of lease. I made a payment on 3/21/2024 for 268.28, which on receipt showed balance remaining including residual amount for payoff of $6930.40. On March 23, 2024 I traded the vehicle into a different dealership and provided payoff amount to them. The dealership along with myself tried contacting company, leaving several messages requesting call back to confirm payoff amount, none of which was received. Now on April 12, and again on April 15 I was informed the amount for payoff is $7988.61. I should not be responsible for amount as APG financial did not answer phone calls, nor return phone calls as requested.

I filed bankruptcy July 2023 and was discharged Nov 2023, APG came and picked up the vehicle In Dec after I made repeated calls for then to come and pick up vehicle. APG coded it as a repossession to Transunion, but it was included in my bankruptcy. Equifax and Experian recoded via dispute because they can see it was included in my bankruptcy but Transunion refuses because APG will not change the coding with all the info they have on file.

Seven years ago I purchased the vehicle from new deal used cars in Ogden Utah. They went out of bussiness and transferred my loan to apg financial. I was unaware as I paid the vehicle off through New Deal but never got the title. Apg claims to have no records of selling me the vehicle. The dmv told me to get a letter of non interest signed. Apg won't sign anything or send me a letter of non interest. So I am stuck with them on my title because they lost their records. The dmv said I'm stuck without it. I have called 3+ times every week for 2 months. If I get them to answer the phone it's the same story. " we have submitted a request for the letter." I don't know what to do.

I am rejecting this response because: the two people they told me to forward the letter to are two of the people I have been dealing with the whole time. Vicky has sent a letter requesting the lien release and is who I have talked to several times with no resolution. Each time I'm told that the finance department  hasn't got to it and to call back later.

This is exactly what has been happening the whole time. All I need is a letter of non interest.

    Sincerely,

This company is who I loan my car through and they are the HARDEST company to work with. I agreed to pay $16000 for the car and after 2 years of paying off at 3 year lease, now I somehow STILL OWE 10 GRAND????? this company is a bunch of scam artists running with the same scam of a company called markosian auto

    Business response

    07/30/2024

    Dear *********************,

The lease portion you would pay is $16,698 then if you wanted to keep the car you have the residual which is $3,459. After 2 years you probable stilled owed $5,500 on the lease plus the residual and taxes on the residual. It could be close to the 10 grand. We do short term leasing as most our customers want to upgrade every 3 years to 4 years. Looks like you are wanting to do that a little earlier than most our customers.

    Thank you,

I make my payments ontime and have since I leased my car in June 2022.I have even paid a payment in advance. My credit report does not reflect correct information. It shows no data for Nov and Dec 2022 as well as Jan 2023. Because of thisthe balance is showing higher than it actually is. I called APG in February and they said that it would take a month to fix. I called them again today and was told that my balance is $3000 more than what I lease it for. The people there aren't professional if they answer their phones and getting a call back from them is impossible. I need my credit reports updated to reflect accurate information.

    Business response

    07/30/2024

    Dear *********************************,

We have reviewed your account and see where the software has sent the data over to the bureaus the beginning of each month. We would be happy to send you a payoff request to compare it to your credit file. Also the credit will not include the residual value of your Mazda.
