It happened on 06/22/2023. I took my other car to get inspected. They failed me due to "rust" on rotors. I go to another mechanic and they are confused how it failed because it has no issues. There are multiple reviews stating this is a problem. I went to get a refund but they denied me. When they inspected my car, they didn't even lift the hood of the car, showing that they were just scamming for a quick buck. My other car, which was brand new when I brought it to them, they said a similar thing. How they would let it pass this time but that it had "rust" on the rotors when it was literally purchased a couple of months ago - brand new with no issues. I took that car back to the dealer, just to check, and the dealer could not find any "rust" on the rotors. It's a common tactic used to get people to spend money at their shop. Everyone beware and take your car to a different location for inspections and services.

    Business response

    07/11/2023

We insisted on what happened on 6/22/2023 during the VA state safety inspection process. The customer's vehicle failed for poor contact of pads with rotors especially, r/h rear disc was heavily rusted than the other side and thickness and the wear of brake pads were abnormal (lower than the other) Secondly, passenger side wiper rubber was ripped. These are the reasons that the customer vehicle failed and we believed that our inspector followed the law correctly during the inspection process. It hurts hard that he said "scame" to someone who spent 22+ years as a VA safety inspector without a single violation, who works hard everyday for his family and for our shop. After an hour the vehicle was passed from another station (only wiper replaced) then he came back asking for a refund which we cannot do after the VA safety sticker was removed from the beginning by law. We hope you understand that we followed the law during the process. Thank you.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
What they saying is not all true. It was a little rust and wiper blades broken maybe an inch or less. I went to other place and asked them would that make it failed. They said no. Therefore, what they did was scam. They did that to my new car as well.

    Regards,
