Suppliers and Buyers beware! I have been a supplier for Farmraiser fundraisers for many years and was excited to be a part of an organization where small, local, sustainable businesses are able to offer their wares to schools/etc. for their fundraisers instead of the typical chocolate bars and wrapping paper. However, over the last few years communication with Farmraiser has become increasingly difficult and payments on invoices started coming later and later. Right now I am awaiting payment from a fundraiser that ended 5 months ago. In trying to track down payment, emails were consistently ignored. I had to fill out their “contact us” email form twice on top of countless emails to specific employees before anyone would get back to me. After finally responding to one of my “contact us” emails I finally heard back. They feigned concern and understanding ensuring me that payment would be made in full. They assured me a check would be mailed and verified my mailing address on 2/16/2023. I was then contacted by a third-party web based payment platform stating we had a payment from Farmraiser waiting; I was told a paper check was being mailed, no mention of any electronic payment was ever mentioned. Never has farmraiser issued us a payment through a third party and the payment offered was less than the total amount due. I immediately contacted farmraiser and have been getting the runaround since then. I have generated invoices on my end to make payment quick and seamless for them which has been ignored. We are a very small business ran by my husband and I and especially in this day and age every penny counts and when a larger company hold hundreds of dollars in funds hostage from a small family business it hurts.
