On 04-28-2022 I reserved a room over the phone. I was told it would be $69 per night for 3 nights, not including tax. Once we arrived, (igreen-employee) only charged us the $69 for the first night and said that because it was a race weekend, it would be more. I assured her we were told it would be $69 per night and she said there was nothing she could do. We needed a place to stay so we decided to just pay it. We were given room #***, the top floor in the back. Arriving back, there were people doing drugs to the right of our room on the balcony. We proceeded to walk past them and enter our room. It reaked of mold and smoke, over 100 cigarette burns on the bedding, black mold on the sheets, orange slime, approximately the size of a volleyball under the bed and black/brown specks between the mattress and the pad. The floor was filthy with sticky spots and garbage. With the room condition, the price issue, and the drugs being used on the balcony, we decided it was not safe for anyone to be there. We discussed this with the front dest lady and showed her our concerns. She claimed we ordered a "smoking room", thats why it looked like that. Of course, we did not. We asked for our refund and she denied, stating to speak with the manager in the morning, *** *****. We stayed in a different hotel and the next morning we called to speak with Mr *****. A man answered the phone and said he was in Florida. He refused to take our information and told us it wasent his problem. We then contacted the health department of ******* and an inspector immediately conducted an inspection and found numerous health concerns and concluded they needed a "follow-up". He also stated the room was occupied by another couple that same night. We reached out to the hotel chain and *** ***** multiple times. The company stated they can refund all our money but it had to go through ***. *** did refund the following 2 nights, but not the 4-28 or the fees. *** would never contact us.

Confirmation#: *********Hello, I’m emailing you regarding the complaint we received from this guest. The guest checked in after midnight stayed a couple of hours and then used the shower which clogged up the drain with hair and then complained about it. They also complained that the sheets were dirty so I offered them a different room but they refused and demanded a full refund. GM VA*** *** *****EconoLodge************

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Once again, Manager *** ***** is lying. As you can see in his own hotel receipt, we checked in at 3:51 pm. I also attached the Health Department Inspection report showing he failed the inspection the following morning. Mr ***** has made false claims even when the evidence is clearly painted.  Regards, ****** *****
