We have unfortunately had a TERRIBLE experience with Jenkins. A year ago now, right after moving into a new home we figured out there was a huge leak. At first the mitigation guys did a great job at getting out quickly and getting things started. We decided to use Jenkins for the restoration and rebuild, and this is where things went south. What was supposed to be originally a 4-6 week project, we STILL are waiting for this project to be complete a year later. We had most of our floors replaced (we do not have a huge home by any means) a new bathroom vanity done, and new master shower/tile in bathroom. This has somehow taken them a year to complete due to poor communication skills. I could go on and on and give multiple examples on how unprofessional and difficult it has been working with them. The only saving ***** in this is that our insurance covered basically ****************** work has turned out nice. We worked with ***** as our project manager which was HORRIBLE. He tried to blame things taking so long on me, saying my schedule made it hard for him and his crew to get things done even though I only work 3 days/week, and am extremely flexible on my days off. We also lived in an ****** for 3 months in which we had to move 3 different times because they kept pushing back the timing of things being done which should have given them PLENTY of time to get everything completed. The nail in the coffin was on the last day that we were supposed to have our final project done, ***** quit without saying anything. Now its been a month and we are still waiting for the final project to be done. I hadnt heard anything from anyone and have been texting basically begging for someone to please finish this project. I have truly never dealt with such unprofessional people in my life. I would NEVER recommend their services in the future.Review from Gary E

BEWARE OF JENKINS RESTORATION. After a fire, we unfortunately hired Jenkins to restore our guest house. An insurance company had recommended them, which seemed promising. However, dealing with Jenkins proved worse than the fire itself, filled with additional trauma and disappointment. If I could leave zero stars I would!Their subcontractors were incompetent, performing as poorly as entry-level amateurs. Supervision was virtually nonexistent, focusing instead on chasing new business. We observed these subcontractors drinking on the job and inadequately measuring roofing materials, leading to significant discrepancies and delays. Their unprofessional conduct extended to smoking inside a structure that had previously burned down.Structurally, their work was alarming. Major parts of the roof lacked necessary supports, which they claimed always passed inspection. However, an inspection failed, and only after intervention by an interim contractor did we manage to address this before a reinspection. Siding installation was equally disastrous, with crooked and mismatched pieces and improper nailing that caused potential for leaks and further damage. The cleanup process was a constant battle, requiring multiple requests to remove visible trash and debris. The newly framed walls were not straight causing major issues with flooring and sheetrock installation. Also, Jenkins did a poor job at creating architectural plans that would work. They made the water heater closet too small and now we can't even find a water heater that will fit inside it so we must spend money to rebuilt the closet which is not covered under our insurance plan. All of this cost more money that what was covered under our insurance plan.We eventually had to work with the insurance company's VP of Vendor Relations to extract ourselves from the contract after demonstrating Jenkins' negligence through videos from a licensed engineer.Review from Theresa H

Their billing department is incompetent, partly because of lack of communications between departments. I have received several copies of the same bill and have responded each time with copies of the cancelled checks. I have written letters, sent emails, and talked to various people on the phone. This has continued for months after the work was completed. The workmanship was good and staff friendly. Enough already! Billing: 1-2, Workmanship: 4, Humans: 5Jenkins Restorations Response

*******, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the quality of our workmanship and the friendliness of our staff. However, we apologize for the ongoing issue you have experienced with our billing department. There has clearly been a breakdown in communication between our departments and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to serve better in the future!Review from Charlene R

Their general manager, Brian A*****, was arrogant and out of touch when I started to complain about their poor performance, lack of customer service, and empathy for my family. My house construction was supposed to take 6 months to complete, but it took them a year. Even after a year, I had to rush to move in because my insurance didn't want to cover my rental house any longer. Jenkins Restoration never fully completed my house, and in the end, I had to settle with them to move on with my life. Here is my advice: if you hire Jenkins Restoration or anyone else, study the work scope approved by your insurance for your home. Jenkins Restoration added many extra demands to my home work scope, which my insurance company approved for thousands of dollars, but they never completed the work. They used cheap materials for my house, including flat paint, to save money for themselves. Be involved in the materials purchasing for your house, as they only hire low-paying contractors, many of whom don't speak English. Jenkins Restoration prioritizes money over customer care. Additionally, when they are counting your personal belongings, be present and take pictures of each item. Contractors from Jenkins Restoration who counted my belongings stole many items from my house, including electronics and tools from my garage. They also scratched my brand new $3000 Samsung refrigerator and refused to replace it. To ensure the money approved by your insurance for house construction is properly used, know what is in the work scope and make sure everything is completed as listed. If not, make a claim as it is your money. If you are not familiar with the work scope, they may take advantage of you and not complete the work as approved by your insurance. My experience with Jenkins Restoration was awful, and I do not recommend them. If diversity is important to you, note that Jenkins Restoration does not exemplify this value, as they are dishonest and lack diversity, consisting of only one raceReview from Patricia H

Do not hire them. And please never give them BBB accreditation. Deplorable organization. Trashed my house and our personal property, hired shotty/lazy subcontractors. Didn’t order materials or finishes in advance, when I sent an incredibly detailed list with availability, location, links, prices, and more. Lost our furniture and appliances. Damaged furniture, appliances, and other personal property. We had a house fire beginning in our crawlspace, which they were hired to restore. But neglected to fix the crawlspace. On what was meant to be the final walkthrough, I pointed out the blistered wood in the crawlspace, as well as burnt subfloor that was covered by new flooring, an empty air vent, a melted duct, and the non-existent/ melted moisture barrier. The PM said he didn’t know it was like that despite us telling him MULTIPLE times. We were out for a total of 6 months. This negligence ultimate caused our two small children to develop asthma 6 months after our return. After their diagnosis, our pediatrician to recommend toxin testing in our home. The house tested positive for toxic mold. We had to move out again for an additional 4 months while insurance tested, Jenkins tested, Jenkins tried to deny the claims, and repairs were made.Ultimately insurance decided to right the problems and deal with Jenkins on their own later. I also received an asthma diagnosis and my husband was tested as well. The negligence of Jenkins literally poisoned my entire family in the very place we are meant to feel the most safe. There were some lovely workers from Jenkins we encountered the do embody the Jenkins’ Christian mission of service, but unfortunately their efforts are completely ruined by the individuals in leadership positions and unprofessional subcontractors. Jenkins exasperated the trauma my family was already going through as has continued to in the 2 years since the fire. Do not hire them.Do not give them accreditation. Please seek work elsewhere. ZERO stars.Review from Chris H

Do not recommend. I'd go for weeks at a time leaving messaging without a callback. Had to call their office to finally get them to review the insurance approval, and then they ghosted me again. I've wasted two months of a house with a damaged roof, and need to start over again with a new contractor. Save your time and home, don't use them.Review from Elaine G

If we could give a zero we would ! We were referred to Jenkins Restoration out of Kent Wa from our very reputable in Insurance adjuster. Our water damage happened 12/28/2022 our first contact with Jenkins Restoration was 1/4/2023. As of today 4/4/2023 we are sitting in our home without a working kitchen. Some cabinets have been put in and not in right location. One cabinet has not arrived yet. Poor workmanship on work that has been done so far.
