absolutely so disappointed in this company. I really loved them at first but the past year I have not been able to get any work done or finished. I’m not sure if it’s because they have joined another company but it’s honestly ridiculous, I got a new panel IN JUNE OF 2022, the meter box and new wiring was supposed to be done my meter box is still hanging on the side of my house and no one will get back to me. I payed for a maintenance plan for my hvac, water heater and generator and they do not honor it, no one has been out since I paid for it. I am frustrated and extremely disappointed in this company. Will not be going forward with them anymore. STAY AWAY.Review from Hunter S

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! THEY DO NOT CARE FOR THE SAFTEY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. I was very dissatisfied with the service American Mechanical provided to my Condo Community and will never use them again for taking advantage of us. Not only did they rip up the middle of our neighborhood and leave it a total mess, they showed an extreme lack of professionalism through the whole process. They cut electrical lines and buried them purposefully leaving much of the general lighting out in our neighborhood. We were told the land would be cleared and be left rough grade, yet there are differences between the leveling of the ground by multiple feet in many areas. The area looks horrible and debris was left everywhere. Worst of all they left exposed rusty rebar that I stepped on taking out forcing me out of work and sending me to the doctor for a tetanus shot and closing of the wound. Kids in our neighborhood could have stepped on this and they have shown zero remorse. The company made many promises and failed on them all. When the issues were pointed out instead of helping to resolve the issue, they blamed our community. I own my own company and any company that shows a lack for safety, lack of care for their customers, & does not take responsibility when they mess up is not a company you want to be doing business with. Update: After two posts and multiple phone calls with the company I finally was able to get someone to talk to me about the situation. I spoke with someone higher up in the company named Joel, who was rude and dismissive when I presented him with the fact that his company left exposed rebar. This company does not care about the happiness of its customers and will leave your neighborhood or home unsafe and hazardous. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!Review from Debra F

BEWARE! Sewer replacement work by American Mechanical for Holly Bend Condo Association was not completed in a professional manner. Our electrical supply to our security lighting was cut and not reconnected. Two cars have been broken into since. A sharp price of rebar was left exposed and one of our owners was injured requiring medical assistance and time off from work. They didn’t fill in a long hole in the parking lot and we have had to fill it in ourselves. They left the work area with large mounds of dirt, cut bushes and tree limbs. For the expense of this job, you fell short and have yet to provide any remedy to these issues.Review from Andrew U

American Mechanical takes advantage of people during the summer by failing to schedule several days in a row, and when they did show up they charged me **** *or a *** capacitor, plus an additional . This was highway robbery and they have since been fired from servicing our HVAC. They had us over a barrel after delaying on our tenant for 3 days so we had to take their price.American Mechanical, Inc. Response

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Summer heat waves always bring in a high volume of demand calls that can exceed the number of staff we have available to respond to them. We apologize if you feel we failed to meet your expectations for same or next day service.
We triage all incoming information and prioritize people at risk (the elderly, sick, etc.) and our membership clients who we are obligated by contract to service within a certain time frame. Whatever room we have still available on our schedules we offer as calls come in, based on the number of employees we have. Our dispatchers maintain constant contact with customers that are on standby, and it's always an option from a consumer standpoint to try and call other contractors if our availability is unacceptable to you or your tenant.
From our service records, we installed your equipment 3-4 years ago along with a membership back in 2020 for your first year's cleanings for free. (Priority scheduling included) Unfortunately, the membership was not renewed. A scheduled cleaning in the spring may have caught the wear on your capacitor before it failed, saving your tenant from suffering a breakdown during the summer. Also, if you are not having regular maintenance performed and recorded by a licensed HVAC technician, Trane will void your manufacturer's warranty for not properly maintaining your equipment.
Regarding our pricing - we try to provide the best service, not the cheapest. We are a service provider, not a parts store. Your service includes licensing, insurance, and a trained technician with tools and parts to make repairs the same day he's there. If your repair fails within 30 days, we'll come back at no charge.
It's always our intent to provide the best service possible no matter the circumstance. We understand that your expectations were not met during your service request, and hope that a little insight into the HVAC industry might help alleviate some of your concerns. We're always happy to help if you have a need and hope you choose to try us again in the future.

I called this business to have attic fan replaced. Called me back and they left a message regarding only available day was in a week. I did not call back to schedule but received txt message the following week regarding appt was set for the following day. I thought ok let them come. I txted back asking what time, they txted early 7:37 am on day of appointment with a map showing dispatcher was on the way. I texted back and asked i need exact time frame. Dispatcher called and was nice enough to give me ample time to get ready. Dispatcher checked and gave me a quote for fan and thermostat needing to be replaced. He also informed me about *** service fee for coming out. No one mentioned anything of this fee-not in the txt messaging nor message left. This schedule was made for me, I would not have let them come out if i knew of service fee. There are plenty who do not charge this fee. Now they called claiming I knew of fee and that i scheduled the appointment. I have all my phone logs and txt messages. Don't let them bully you into thinking what they want you to believe. Im still waiting on them to provide any recording. 1 star for the nice dispatcher who came over. Negative star for person who called threatening me to let collection agency deal with $85. Shame on you American Mech. Called back another company did the job less than 1/2 price and did not charge service fee coming out the first time.Review from Larry D

I purchased a Heat Pump from this company on 19 Dec, 2019 during the pandemic. My old unit had a Freon leak. The new unit was installed and had a 2 year free maintenance and 10 year parts warranty. During the pandemic they could not service the unit so right after the 2 year mark the unit started having problems that should have been discovered during the 2 year window. Now I have a new unit with the same problems the old unit had a Freon leak and will not operate correctly. The company cannot find the problem after **** spent troubleshooting the unit. The company did a leak test and could not find the leak, my guess is the unit is defective. The outside line is 20 feet from the ground to the attic and covered with plastic covering. The company want ***** the check the outside line and the mean-time I have no air conditioning for the last 8 months. I would not refer this company to anyone I am very frustrated with this situation.Review from Doug E

The technician was professional and knowledgeable. HOWEVER, I was charged $**** for $*** worth of parts and two hours of labor. Fully out of line. Avoid this company if you are looking for a fair value.Review from Michele H

Ed S. is a Plumbing Solutions Specialist. From the moment he provided the estimate on a new tankless water heater until the final inspection, Ed provided exceptional service. His knowledge as a Master Plumber became evident immediately in his thorough explanations of the installation process and the equipment used. He answered all questions in detailed (layman’s) terms to insure my understanding with patience and professionalism. Though he did not do the initial installation, he was available for any questions/concerns that surfaced and willingly returned for follow up work upon request. His knowledge, demeanor and genuine concern for my satisfaction as a new customer makes him an outstanding employee for American Mechanical.American Mechanical, Inc. Response

Had a technician come out to look at a goodman HVAC that had a broken 2 way gas valve. Technician came out promptly and in 30 minutes told me what I already knew. He proposed 2 options, option A to replace the broken part. Option B was to replace the part and HVAC consumables (******* *** *** ********* Option A was over ***** dollars and Option B was ***** dollars. Found the exact White Roger's, Goodman Gemini 2 way gas regulator valve SPIN 36G54-238 for *** dollars and the striker and Stiker rod for 36 dollars. Called them back offering to buy the parts and have them install, they told me for insurance reasons they wouldn't touch my customer bought parts. I asked them what the cost of the parts were and for a break down in the labor costs and they told me that there isn't a break down and they won't know the cost of the parts till they buy them but of course I can always find cheaper parts online. I immediately called around town and the average price quoted for both the part and consumables was ***$. They are ripping people off and more importantly they are ripping off home insurance companies. They are charging over 900 percent current labor and parts cost and double what other companies are charging in the area. Their technicians are incentivized to lie and persuade customers to replace parts that do not need to be replaced.Review from Mike G
