    I was visiting my sister in April and my dog ??bit my 8 year old daughter. We lived in *** at the time and my daughter had health insurance. To make sure, I called my insurance and asked her what they covered out of state and she told me that if it was an emergency, yes. The medical center took my social security even though it wasn't me who needed the help and I didn't have a job either. the health insurance paid the expenses and now they are damaging my credit by sending it to collection without even seeing me send a notice. It is unfair

    Thank you for forwarding the complaint you received in reference to the above listed ID number.  I reached out to our billing company and can offer the following information concerning this account:1. Patient was a juvenile at time of service which is why the mother’s information was collected and she is listed as guarantor of the account.2. The patient was seen twice on 11/25/2021.  Neither visit has a form of insurance listed and the patients mother was listed as guarantor3. Three (3) bills were mailed to the address given at time of service and there was no reply from the guarantor – no communication at all4. After 3 bills to guarantor and no response the account is turned over to collections.  5. There is still an outstanding balance for this patient/guarantorIf guarantor wishes to contact our billing company and provide proper insurance information that would have been effective on 11/25/2021, we will be glad to attempt to bill both visits.  Please know that at this point it is highly unlikely that insurance will pay as we are now long outside the window for “timely billing”.  The contact information for contact at the billing company is: ************** ******* *******Also, if the patient wishes to set up a payment plan, we will gladly work with her to get her account resolved.If you should need anything further from me, please feel free to reach out.****** ** ******
