I am owed a refund for a part I didnt receive. I had ordered the part in April and it has never been shipped to their auto shop citing part on back order. In June, I decided I didnt want wait any longer as I was told the part is still not available. On June 19th, I requested a refund for the part which I had already paid about 85 dollars to them for it. I was told they would check about the refund and after I called them several times, I was told I would get a refund. As of today, I have not received my refund. One employee has seemed to try to help me but as of this complaint, I havent received my refund.

I had issues with my car a 2017 Jeep Patriot it was loosing power. I took it to auto zone and found out it was an 02 sensor. On 03/1/2022 I brought my car in to Platinum Plus Auto Repair on ******************* ********, ** I chose them because them claim to provide proof of the repair needed. I asked the lady at the front desk to send me any proof they have about me repair she said she would. After looking at my car they told me that catalytic converted needed to be replaced. I asked for email to be sent and one was sent, I should have looked at it before I agreed to the repairs there wasn't any pictures providing proof that I needed this work done. I did mention this to the lady at front desk and she apologized for not sending anything. I had my car fixed and paid them $ ******** I have receipts to send in. I still heard a sound with me car and it didn't seem as fast as it used to be. I am not a mechanic but I know how my car drives. My car wasn't 100% and it was making another noise at this point so on August 25th 2022 I brought my car back to them. I told them that I had a repair done to the converter and it wasn't the same or correct. They told me they would look at it. They came back telling me that I needed wheel bearings and I said ok I will fix that, they also said the converter was fine. When i picked up my car I had an encounter with a very rude receptionist / man at the front desk. They kept my car all day and said it would be done before 5pm. They called me at 4:34 pm to pick my car up and they didn't take payments over the phone. So basically they lied to me and said the converter was fixed. ( if they even check it ) It also just happed to be left off the notes. June 15th 2023 my engine light comes back on and I took it to a place I trust they ran a diag check its my converter again. I tried to work with another Platinum repair shop but they want to charge me more # for labor and another diagnostic check. I have 2 I

Hi there, our work has a 12/12 warranty for most repairs. Fortunately on your you would have a warranty if the converter is deemed bad and needs a replacement. The diagnosis charge would get waived if indeed the converter is bad, however if it shows a different issue it does not get waived. We understand the frustration and its just a process that has to take place in order to take the proper steps. Thank you for your patience.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Dear ****, Just to confirm our conversation today the Case shouldn't be closed and I can't accept the offer of waiving the diagnostic report.    At this point I do not trust Platinum Auto Plus to fix my car.  They have lied to me and I have paid a lot of money $2400.00.
I have already brought my car back to them 2 separate times and they refused to help me the last time.   I have paid for the cat converter to be repaired and it is clear that is not.   They wanted me to pay for another diagnostic test and for the labor to fix their mistake.

I am worried that they will look at my car and say the issue is something else and charge me again.

I went back to Platinum Auto Plus on Hull stAugust 25th , 2022 and told them there was still a problem with my car. They didn't add my complaint to  the notes on their computer and then told me there was something else wrong with my car.  I have documents stating that there are bolts missing and parts appear new but my car ticks like a bomb.

I brought my car back to them and they were dismissive and I can't trust them to fix my car at this point.  I am asking for my money back and I can go and get my car fixed by a different repair shop.

I am about to file a small claims case if this doesn't get resolved soon.  My car is my only means of transportation and I need my car for work.  If I have to file a small claims case I will be asking for pain and suffering.  I am actually due now.

    Thank you

    Regards,
