On 3/29/2023, F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical, Inc. ('Company') installed a Lennox BOILER (LG-BOILER-187) in my home. Its spark pilot stopped working in early Feb, 2024 and was replaced. The replaced spark pilot stopped working again on Jan 23, 2025 and the managers said that we have to wait for at least one week with additional payment to get its replacement. This level of unreliability of the igniting set is very worrying and its failure in the coldest times each year makes the life of my family extremely difficult. Following the "2 YEAR 100% BUY BACK GUARANTEE" in the GUARANTEES contract of the company, it is specified that "If during the first 2 years, you are dissatisfied with the operation of the equipment we have installed, **** **** will make unlimited attempts to resolve the issue. If we are unable to make the system perform according to design specifications verified by a manufacturers representative we will remove the system and refund your money in full."However, asking us to wait for at least one week for getting the replacement in these coldest days and also with additional payment does not follow the contracted term of "unlimited attempts to resolve the issue". Given the unexpected unreliability of the ignition system, it might be worth presuing the choice with the company that "we will remove the system and refund your money in full."Review from Lisa H

Do not recommend ** **** for ************* I purchased a New Lennox HVAC in December of 2022 and have had numerous problems with the unit. I chose to go through ** **** because they are the vendor for ******. I have had to get the heat pack replaced, the capacitor replaced, a surge protector, multiple issues with refrigerant, thermostat replaced, and now I'm having more issues with the auxiliary Heat. The next step is to replace the heat pack for a second time. The *************** is horrible and it is very difficult to get management to call you back. I've been waiting over 24 hours for a call back from the manager. I have had a technician out five times in the past two and a half weeks and my issue still isn't fixed. At this point, I don't know what else to do?Review from Sasha J

Run away!! The company quoted us 14k for a new furnace and told us our gas vent was out of code. Bottom line is they lied and we got a second opinion; our price dropped to less than half what was quoted. Our vent is within current ******** code. Wouldn't use them again. Original owners sold their company to an investment equities firm.F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical, Inc. Response

Ms. ******** I am sorry that you did not feel your visit from our technician and consultant were to your expectations. I have reviewed the history of your account and found that our technician who advised on replacing the furnace also left some estimates which were for repairs of the existing furnace. As the manufacturer's label indicated that the system was built in 2000 which is beyond the life expectancy for the equipment. I am sorry that we did not win your business in this instance, but do hope that you may reconsider our services in the future.Review from Dorothy L

Requested **** **** to check my heat pump on 10/22/2024. I selected them because they have a presence in a local wholesale warehouse. I didnt receive a 30 to 60 minutes call before arrival. My phone didnt ring at all that morning and no calls were in the phone log. Nonetheless a knock came. Tech said they called 3 times and removed me from the schedule after not reaching me. He said he would stop anyway since he was in the area. He said he then needed to add me back to the schedule before he could do the work.He found the capacitor to be bad. Warned me the cost was pricey; didnt want me to have sticker shock. Cost to replace was approximately $650; said part of reason for price was 5-year warranty. Also said coils needed cleaning so total would be over $1000. He informed me of percentage savings if I purchased a maintenance plan.I did a quick search and found high end for replacing a capacitor was $400. I told him I wasnt going to pay $650. I paid the $115 diagnostic fee.A positive aspect with **** **** was after 2 calls to the company, I received via US mail a hardcopy of my diagnostic paperwork. I told the tech I wanted a hardcopy versus an email.I had the capacitor replaced on 10/23/2024 by another company for $238 plus their diagnostic fee of $115, same as **** ****. So total cost $468 (2 diagnostic fees plus capacitor replacement cost). I was so grateful to save almost $300 that I tipped the techs for lunch.F.H. Ms. ******** I am sorry that we did not fully meet your expectations for pricing of the repairs. We use the best quality of parts and offer warranties which are some of the best in the industry. It is good to hear that our technician was upfront and provided you with options. If you should decide to give us another opportunity in the future, we would be happy to serve you.Review from John C

November 12, 2024, I made an appointment for a furnace check up . Date of service was scheduled for November22 2024, with a window of 8-12 . At 11:40 i got a call from their customer service claiming they couldn't make it because of an overload of " no heat" problems.I would like to point out I made the the appointment 11 days prior. The *** told me in no uncertain words I was pushed to the bottom of the list because I was listed as just a "check up", and *************** was a priority. When I explained it was more than just a "check up" and that the furnace was putting out cold air as 72 degrees on the thermostat and I had to crank it up to 77 or higher to get heat, her response was "you have heat", I have found out the hard way the cranking the thermostat put a the furnace into a higher function and effects the electronic bill tremendously. Thus the need for service.I am sorry there were so people that didn't have heat and I don't begrudge their need for service and warmth. The ** **** advertises a furnace check up for ***** , which i don't care about, because I know that is standard marketing tool used by the service industry and I had expected to pay more because there was a problem with the furnace. The issue was they dropped the service call, because it was only a "check up" and I am sure "no heat" is much more lucrative. In addition I had called 11 days in advance to schedule, surely I was on the calendar and they had no idea what the weather would be on the 22nd, especially with all the warmer days in November. They HAD my service call for 11 DAYS. !!!!Now ?? Is it poor business management? Not enough technicians? Is Fridays a bad day to schedule service because the employees want to start their weekend? Sounds like they are picking and choosing service calls that can make them the most money.Should their advertising be reviewed ?F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical, Inc. Mr. ******** I am sorry to hear that we disappointed you in this instance. We have the unfortunate responsibility of making decisions on how to prioritize service calls over inspections - and even service calls over other service calls. Many factors go into making these decisions. Had you been without heat, then we could have changed the status of the job to service and given it a higher priority. Our inspections are just what they say they are and we expect that your services are working. Having to force a higher demand on the system in order to get warmth via the emergency heat (electric) feature is a symptom of a non-functioning system. If these conditions are not fully provided during scheduling, then we cannot know that a higher priority should be placed on the appointment. Hopefully, we may have another opportunity in the future to service your home.Review from Pamela D

Bought a hot water heater from them 7 years ago. Called for a flush 2 years ago. Called for another flush 11/19/2024. Tech came in and went back outside and then says he can’t open valve. He says I need to spend $325 for a new valve. He then sits in his truck. After several calls to complain about buying a water heater from them 7 years ago that already needs a new valve I was only told they understood but did nothing to show that. A few hours later a Service Manager calls and said I may need a new water heater after buying one from them 7 years ago. He also made excuses for why the technician couldn’t open the valve to flush. Funny I did not have any problems until they came to my house with the $49 flush sale. They use the sale as bait to get you to spend money on services you don’t need. Don’t waste your money calling these clowns. The customer service is also terrible. As a consumer, I do not recommend this company.Review from Elizabeth D

I have been a customer of ** **** for a few years. I had my annual plumbing inspection this week. The GOOD: *** and his assistant ******* were on time, did the work in rapid time and were very courteous. They did a good job replacing the kitchen disposal and retooling the inside of one of the two toilet tanks. The appointment and the dispatch staff is very good and have great customer service skills. I think I spoke to 7-8 of them and all were courteous. I initially name requested people with whom I had dealt with on prior inspections and who were great. The appointment staff received permission to have my name requested technicians come to my home. On the day of, the technicians were switched. I was told that **** is employing a new AI system which decides who to send where. The family or personal touch that **** claims is no longer there. The BAD: I realized a day after the work was done that I had been bamboozled by *** who read me like a book and sensed how concerned I was about things not working well in my home. I feel that he drilled in to my fears: he talked very very fast when reviewing the proposals with me and employed some subtle fear tactics that rattled me so I ended up agreeing to more than I should have. Their prices are predatory and astronomical. For example it was almost ****** to replace 2 washing machine hoses. A kitchen basket strainer replacement was ****** and a toilet flapper was ******. A complete toilet tank repair was more than ******! These were the prices with my 15% discount. I feel totally duped by the pleasant but fast talking ***. ** **** needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau for predatory pricing and for scare tactics to make a sale. Additionally, the electrician cancelled after I waited all day and the **** annual inspector cancelled appointments not once but twice. I think I dodged a bullet with the other inspectors cancelling. Needless to say, I will not be using this company again.Review from john k

this is the worst and most dishonest company. A service technician by the name of ******* came out to my house to do annual servicing. He was a young kid trying to make commissions and not do his job. All he tried to tell me that my coils were rusting and my system was filthy and needed to be cleaned. He wanted to charge me about $4000 worth of service needs. None of which I needed. My unit was only five years old and installed by them. You should also know that your warranty would be avoided if they don't do the annual servicing. Save your money and find a more reputable company that will not charge you thousands of dollars to do a few hundred dollars worth of cleaning. He even wanted to sell me their special filters for $998 for four of them. He tried to sell me an air duct cleaning. He tried to tell me that my unit needed to be cleaned for $1700. It's still under a 10 year warranty. Their client relations people and management team could've cared less. Also beware, because they record all of their service calls. This is great for you as the customer a few do the same. Then you can prove that all they try to do a sell you stuff when they're in your house. He left my thermostat at 90 on an 80 day in early November. Of course the management team backs him up because they don't want to stand behind anything. Please people save your money and go elsewhere.Review from Linda W

The company is too big, nonresponsive, and cares more about SALES, not service. ** **** wanted to charge me more than $1500 for an **** repair. The previous year, when I bought my home the inspection noted no issues with the **** unit. Likewise, the previous year, ** ****** own technician who conducted an inspection as part of their preferred member plan found no issue with the **** unit. Suddenly this year, the technician says the unit was installed improperly and the wiring is a fire hazard. He disconnected the unit and ordered a new heat pack. I called a small local family-owned company. For $79 they did an inspection and said the wiring was atypical, but was perfectly safe and to code. The tech reconnected the unit. I called ** **** and emailed them multiple times. Never heard from anyone until I received a text confirming a service call for the next day! Each time I called I only got their "customer care" person/dispatch. No real person in the shop or on the floor. ** **** is too big, too expensive, and nonresponsive. I'm happy to support a local small business where you get a real person on the phone, real customer service, and honest work. I recommend ****** **** in Sterling ********.
