This company came out to fix an issue from the initial work and subsequently charged me for it, in addition, the customer service they provided was horrible, I asked for a manager or someone to contact me after they sent a bill to a collection agency even though the one bill I received was not sent timely and they never called to say it was due.

            Business response

            01/23/2024

            Dear Better Business Bureau:

We are writing in response to complaint number ******** filed by ******************************* regarding Complaint of Collection issues/Disputed Amount: $650.00.

We would like to provide a detailed account of the services rendered and the communications that have occurred to clarify the situation. We quoted *************** $820.00 on August 12, 2022 for services he requested. **************** accepted the quote on August 19, 2022 and we scheduled the work to be done on August 26, 2022. The job entailed providing and installing recessed lighting in the kitchen, removing the existing light fixture, ensuring the new lights were switched from the existing location, cutting sheet rock as needed for ceiling wiring, hanging two customer-provided lights, installing an outlet in the desk area, and repairing an outlet on the front of the home. The work was completed to the satisfaction of ****************, which is supported by the fact that our supervisor discussed and resolved a minor concern regarding the size of the hole for the recess lighting, and there were no further complaints at that time. The services were invoiced on August 29th, 2022 at the quoted amount of $820.00. On November 7th, 2022 more than 2 months after the initial work had been completed, **************** contacted us about an outside outlet not functioning correctly, which we had previously attended to by resetting a tripped ***. At this point, **************** had not yet settled the invoice for the initial work completed $820.00. Upon his request for additional service, we informed him that the outstanding payment must be settled before we could dispatch our team.**************** promptly paid the amount due with a credit card, and our technicians visited his residence the next day, November 8, 2022. ************** discovered that the issue was not with the work we had performed but rather with a switch *************** had recently changed out. He had not tied the hot that goes to the bathroom back with the other hot, so no power was going to the *** or the outside receptacle. ************** tied the hot back and resolved the issue.**************** was then invoiced on November 8, 2022 for $93.75 for this service.Despite the mailing of the original invoice and monthly statements thereafter stating invoices are DUE ON RECEIPT AND ALL PAST DUE BALANCES OVER 90 DAYS WILL BE SENT TO COLLECTIONS, the amount remained unpaid, which led us to involve a collections agency in June of 2023 well over 90 days. **************** then paid the amount due of $93.75 plus the collection fees. We value customer satisfaction and have acted in good faith to provide prompt and professional service to *****************We have made multiple attempts to resolve this amicably and agreed to provide additional services even when his previous invoice went unsettled well past his due date. Our records clearly show that all work was completed as agreed and that any issues that arose were addressed promptly and effectively. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of service and integrity and request that the BBB reviews the provided details to affirm our position in this matter.

We are unclear of the $650.00 dispute. He was quoted, invoiced and paid $820 for the initial work and then invoiced $93.75 for second visit, no other services have been done. He has never been invoiced $650.00.
