We built a new home and our builder used Legacy Plumbing so we thought we would use them for an outdoor project that we did on our own without the builder. We created an outdoor area with a pool, covered pergola, stone fireplace and travertine floors. We hired ********************* and Legacy to install natural gas lines so we could have outdoor patio heaters and not have to get propane tanks from the store over and over again. Overall ***** was responsive to my emails, and I thought he would do a nice job for our space. All of the other contractors did an outstanding job and I would recommend all of them. I sent ***** the specs for the heaters 8 months ago. About one month ago I asked him where I should secure the heaters relative to the gas lines they installed. He sent someone out to meet onsite but the guy came and went without ringing the doorbell. ***** thinks I should have been sitting in the backyard for him. It's completely unprofessional for a contractor to go into a clients backyard without ringing the doorbell. Legacy installed 3 gas lines for 3 heaters but they were sticking up from the ground about 2 feet but this was before the area was graded. However, our ***** had elevation lines showing where the floor would be. ***** is now telling me that the elevation lines weren't there and that the pipes that are out of the ground 17 inches can't be shorter. He won't say why he didn't ask me about the elevation. It doesn't seem normal that a contractor would just guess. The gas pipes look terrible and he said I should cover them in PVC or a wood box. We are very lucky to have a nice backyard set-up and no one would think that we would want some metal pipes sticking up 17 inches.I would not recommend Legacy to anyone based on my experience.
