Originally charged ******* to care credit card which I applied for through their practice for long term dental procedures...Paid in April 2024 received some treatments..On my visit on 9-9-24 they changed long term treatments so I requested a credit to the card of the amount told to me by office manager of ******* and we would start over with next visit...She said it would take 3 weeks..On October 30th I was informed the practice would no longer be accepting my insurance, I reached the office manager and she told me she would credit the card.. I filed a dispute through care ********************* and informed office manager....They have not credited my card I am no longer a patient there....Business response

Hello,
Patient had some treatment completed and prepaid for future services to receive promotional 12 month 0% payment plan from care credit versus 6 month payment plan. Account was audited and double checked with patients insurance claims for correct refund amount of prepayment amount. We needed to have patient double check and confirm he understood he will lose 12 month deferred interest and will have 6 month deferred interest.
Needed to have patient come in for processing refund and sign receipt. We have processed the refund already.Customer response

I paid $1070. For a metal denture On 11-9-23 In January I went to get impressions and my dentist wasn't there. I Saw another dentist that wasn't a good experience. He didn't do the impressions.I went back to front desk and asked for a refund I wasn't going to get denture. Office manager told me it would take a month.She talked me into coming back on January 23,2024 and my dentist wasn't there again.I told them to refund my Care credit card for the amount.It has been over 2 months still no refund, I have called almost every week after waiting the month. They will not answer the phone when I call, I leave messages they will not call me back. So unhappy with how they are treating me now that I want a refund. They charge for the denture way before I was going to get it, because I had to heal.They have been unprofessional.All I want is the refund.Any help you can do is greatly appreciate. Dental work is not cheap. I'm not going to pay on something I didn't get.Business response

On October 24, 2023, Modern Dentistry charged my credit card upfront in the amount of $778.69 for services they said were not covered by my insurance. However, after speaking with my insurance provider they said ALL four claims were paid in full, and they should not have charged me. I brought this to the attention of Modern Dentistry on my next visit on November 7, ****, then again on November 21, 2023. At both visits, they acknowledged the error and said at each visit that a refund check would be sent within 5 through 15 days. No refund was received. When I called the office on three occasions, they said someone would call me back but never did. I finally called my insurance provider during the first week of January ****. We conducted a recorded conference call with the office manager, where she stated to my insurance provider and to me that a refund would be sent, acknowledging the error of charging me upfront then submitting four claims that were paid in full. It is now February 11, ****, and no refund check has been received by me as promised by the office manage (who never returns calls). If not resolved immediately, I will also file a complaint with the ********************* against the owner of Modern Dentistry.Business response

The office had to wait until all insurance payments were received to perform accurate accounting prior to processing refund to the patient. We have since reached out to the patient and processed the requested refund of $778.69. Please see the refund receipt attached.

2014 Feb, went modern dentistry because of work related incident. Was told had pay $*** before they could do anything for me. I question this because it was a worker's comp issue. They said, would refund my money once file the paperwork an get confirmation. So paid the $***, I was in so much pain. The dentist told me needed a night guard made. The night guard was made now we going into March. Hadn't heard anything. May called to be told the night guard was broken in the lab could come in and they do another mold. I did and waited on this one, going on 3 mths. Called on this night guard for them say got it back but can't find it in the office. I felt this was taking forever, wrote a letter that I was not satisfied would like my refund of $*** they could forget the mold. Received letter back 9/16/2016 that the Owner approved for my refund. Till this day I have not received said refund. Could you all help me please. Modern dentistry have a copy of the letter. Plus I have spoken to numerous Managers only to be told they have talk to their supervisor but I don't get no call back. I have been so patience going this on my own every year. I'm tired of being told by this managing group it's been too long you can't get your money back. Now where does it say you are allowed to keep my money. It's not like I've not been trying to get my money. It would be different if I was dead. I'm alive and want my money that's owed back too me. If I owed them I would be in collections right now, so what is the difference. I also feel there was another reason for asking for money for a worker's comp issue from me but I'm not going there.. thanks in advance for your help. I appreciate all that you all do. I just want this to be over so I can stop calling every year. I WANT MY $***. As I'm writing you all it's been 2 week's waiting on the supervisor call me. Thanks again for your help.. Called the business and spoke to Lexi. She stated that the consumer received her refunded on April 20 the check was mail. On April 13 her night guard was made with no charge. May 4 her night guard was deliver.Customer response
