ZERO STARS BEWARE!!! they will permanently block your debt card if they detect any suspicious activity without verifying if the transactions were legitimate, and refuse to make it right.Langley Federal Credit Union Response

Poor customer service on weekend literally have had to call 4 times and no one has been able to cancel my card for fraudulent services. Been on hold for an hour. Asked the manager what she did she couldnt tell me what she did in her job description. I think it would be better if AI took over there jobs. Because a robot has more empathy then they do working there which is sad to say because robots have no empathy. Plus customer service is longer getting help for a card replacement then if i was speaking to a robot. Other banks have good customer service on weekend. But this staff needs to be fired and given a whole new staff or AI needs to take their jobs. Maybe they are losing their contract with langley and thats why their work productivity sucks right before christmas. One can only hope.Langley Federal Credit Union Response

Sounds to me like a lot of the ppl that are complaining are either elderly or not managing their account alerts and / or finances properly/diligently. This institution is literally one of the best banking institutions I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I've been with them for a little over 8 years, and they've given me great financial opportunities often without me requesting them. Also, they've given me grace on multiple occasions. Their customer service is very prompt, courteous, attentive, and very informative when it comes to my customer service needs. I'm greatly appreciative to have them as my banking institution. My physical debit card was stolen along with my phone and I reported multiple unauthorized transactions on or around August 17th, 2024. I called multiple times thereafter & i was informed there were no updates as to the status of my claim and that my online access would be locked for the time being outpost leaving unable to access my provisional credit which I really need. Today on September 7th I was informed that my claim had been denied. I am beyond shocked at this and I am awaiting the documentation used but this is wrong and very unfair. I reported the fraudulent charges promptly and I’m being punished by Langley. I have asked for the claim to be reopened and it needs to be corrected as soon as possible! I have been a member of Langley Federal Credit Union in some aspect of my life since I was 12 years old. I had never used any services outside of the banking. We started using the Insurance department because of the convenience and it was offered, we thought why not. Well recently this last company they assigned us to for auto insurance, ******** ******* has decided to cancel our policy for a fault that was clearly not our fault. I was in a no-fault accident on vacation. The adjuster for the insurance started asking her questions and asked was the vehicle used for ridesharing, well I had just started ******** for like 4 days a couple of weeks prior and showed her proof. She stated that since we did not disclose when we got the policy it was a violation. How does that fall on us and we went through Langley as a third party who never ever in all the years we had insurance, asked these questions? I even reached out to other insurance companies and they all said the same thing, that We should not be held at fault because that was Langley's job and the fact that I was on vacation at the time and one had nothing to do with the other. Never again will I use them for anything other services and Will Not recommend to any one else as I used to in the past. BEWARE of these scammers. Thankfully we were able to get other coverage, but not before I had to pay ***** out of pocket to have my car repaired myself. Very, Very Bad Business!!!Langley Federal Credit Union Response

I read that they are supposed to give notice before raising credit card rates. I visited the establishment and was reminded of the document I signed in 20** but not given a copy. My credit card interest rate went from ***** ** **** without notice. Half of my monthly payments go towards interest. My mortgage has skyrocketed because I’m stuck on a ARM while working on debt cancellation. Langley FCU are aware of my financial state and have chosen to be the oppressor and oppressors WILL eventually fall.Langley Federal Credit Union Response

The majority of consumer credit cards, including Langley's, operate on a variable-rate basis, meaning that the interest rate can fluctuate up or down based on the Prime Rate. This information is disclosed during the application process, and the current rate is stated on each monthly statement. Lenders have no influence over the Prime Rate, and there is no legal requirement or mechanism to pre-notify rate changes. Similarly, this member's mortgage, like the credit card, features an adjustable rate that was disclosed at the time of origination. However, unlike the credit card, Langley has both the capability and the obligation to send notices of rate changes to its members. On December 15, 2023, Langley sent a notice of rate change to the member's property address, which also serves as her mailing address on record. In response to the member's complaint, we have made efforts to reach out to her and offer another copy of this notice, as it seems she may not have received it. We encourage this member to reach out to us with any additional questions. We are here to explore potential solutions to help alleviate financial stress.Review from Carla H
