AW Holmes used an extension cord to wire my sewage ejector pump together becuase they brought the wrong kind that is not compatible with my electrical system, they also gave me a used pump and weaker one than needed for the home. My pump has been smoking and tripping my breaker creating a HUGE fire hazard. Not to mention they are NOT licensed electricians, and they did electrical work on my system. I now have to pay ******* *o a different company who actually is licensed in all areas to fix the damage created and re do the entire job. What could have been a simple fix if they were honest is now a living nightmare, they have caused sewage to leak down the side of my house in my yard for 2 months....... They refuse to make the situation right by refunding me, they laughed when I asked. They also refuse to tell me if the new appointment they made for me on their own is a licensed electrician, they get very angry and hang up on me. Im not sure how this is even a living breathing company after all of this and reading the endless terrible experiences they have caused people. This is such a shame to innocent families trusting companies. Absolute GARBAGE company, they should all be truly ashamed of themselves.

I had a few estimates from this company, one for install of a tankless water heater, which I decided to just reinstall a smaller tank water heater, one for cast iron piping under my house, which I got a different opinion from and decided to go elsewhere, and my final one was for my sub flooring to be replaced through my insurance company for water damage. The company gives free estimates, but apparently it is limited if you decide to use other services. My last visit, I was waiting to get a detailed estimate to send to my insurance company and the employee came out, gave me his honest opinion, and I agreed and wanted to work with him. I reached out twice for the quote to send out to my ********* ******* to get the work started. I was informed that it appears I was using the company for free estimates and I would be charged *** dollars for any quotes moving forward. I will not be coming here again if I am to be persecuted for exercising my right to shop around for services. I am unsure who I talked to via Facebook chat, but I am disappointed. Your technicians were great, and I respect them. But this wasn’t the way to go. And reading the reviews on here, I did not ask for them to come outside of work hours, they sent someone after working hours on their own accord to look at the potential job and quote me on it.

Through my home warranty, A.W. Holmes Contracting was assigned to provide service. I would just advise others to opt for another company. Customer service through the office (including the manager) was non-existent. I had false promises about the date of service and coming out day after day, but wanted us to leave the water off until they arrived. They required us to pump water out and refused to go under the house if there was any trace of water (but they are plumbers). I was threatened several times to have my claim cancelled by "the manager" who was nasty any time I called for whatever reason, often jumping to conclusions before she even began talking to me. We ended up getting a quote with a $**** out of pocket expense for Suits, plastics, pumps to be able to get to the area. It was ridiculous because what plumbers don't have suits and plastic and we already had to get a pump to have the water cleared out before they came. But $**** for those specific items while we were quoted **** for the actual repair/pipe to be replaced. Luckily, we were able to get another contracted after the assessment and quote, because there was no other reason for the $**** out of pocket other than scamming people out of money for an issue that of course had to be resolved. Lastly, though the technician seemed "less" condescending, he was nice/nasty but often ******* ********** ** ********* when he arrived for the service. It's clear that this company is a part of the warranty network for the money, yet doesn't prioritize those contracts and had no issue treating those customers like a last option that should be grateful with whatever service they were "willing" to provide.

Your warranty company didn't cover your entire claim. We were notified you took a cashout and they closed the clam.

If you have a home warranty and have been referred to A. W. Holmes for service, please do not use this company. A. W. Holmes is dishonest and a rip off. A service call was placed on November 15, 2023 with a completion date of December 14, 2023 (one month with no hot water). Home Warranty paid for the water heater and labor. The reason for the delay, could not locate an ****** *** ***** ******. I personally located one within 5 days. An itemized statement (see below) was received informing me that my out-of-pocket balance would be ********* yes *** ******** **** ******* *** ************ ******s. That was LUDICROUS! I went into the office on December 4, 2023 to inquire about the additional charges and this is what the itemized statement reflected: Item Charge/Cost Water line modification ****** ******* **** *** ****** *** ************ ****** explanation Vent ************ ****** *********** *** *** ****** **** ****** ****** ***** *** ******* ******** **************** ******** **** ** ***************** ******** ** **** **** ** ******* on Dec 27, 2023 to schedule an appointment for an inspection and was informed that A. W. Holmes DID NOT APPLY FOR OR WAS ISSUED A WORK PERMIT I went to **** ***** and priced the drain pan, ball valves, thermal expansion tank, water heater connection kit and water heater installation kit for under *******. A formal complaint and an investigation has been launched into A. W. Holmes dishonesty and price gouging.

Our company charges warranty company pricing per their price guides. Your policy did not cover the water heater upgrades or modifications. The warranty company could not locate your water heater in a timely manner, not us. We provided a permit and inspection, which passed. This job is complete.

Do not use them. They tore up my yard, dug a 50’ long by 4’ deep trench. They do not respond to you. This nightmare started on Oct 16, 2023. They finally scheduled me on Nov 9 and 10. They showed up the first day at 1, after they said they would be there at 8. They worked for 2 hours, and left. Did not show up on Nov 10, when I called to see where they were, they said they were not working because it might rain! On Nov 13, they dug the trench, and left it open. When I asked them to put ply wood over the trench so no one would get hurt, they refused. After taking 3 days off, they still haven’t finished the job! This is the level of professionalism you will get if you hire them.
