  NOVA Paving & Construction (NOVA) has demonstrated a complete disregard for professionalism, quality, and customer satisfaction. Our experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. In November 2022, we were approached by ***********************, a representative from NOVA, to provide a quote and paving services for a new driveway/driveway repair. It has since come to our attention that NOVA is not properly registered with the ******** **************************** (***), raising serious concerns about their legitimacy and adherence to business regulations. Having missed this initial red flag, we proceeded with the agreement after witnessing NOVA complete similar services for several neighbors. We exchanged details and ultimately signed an agreement, which was signed by *********************, and required payment to be made payable to *************************. The agreement boasted a 5-Year Maintenance Free work guarantee, which further persuaded us to trust their services. However, less than two months after the service was provided, we noticed evidence that the work performed on our residential driveway fell far short of the agreed-upon standards. The defects and deficiencies present are numerous and alarming, including but not limited to: numerous cracks, fissures, and potholes, compromising its integrity and longevity and exhibits significant areas of unevenness and irregularity, blatantly violating the expected quality standards. We've made numerous attempts to contact NOVA throughout January and May. To our dismay, we received little to no appropriate response despite our persistent efforts to call, email, and send texts to multiple points of contact. Their lack of communication was both unprofessional and inexcusable. Moreover, they have even refused certified mail sent to their address, further evading their responsibility to address our legitimate concerns.

  We had our driveway repaved by Nova Paving & Construction of Reston, VA on Feb 23, 2023. At the time of the pre-paving consultation, we told "*****" that there were sprinkler heads lining both sides of the current driveway. I told him I would need to mark their locations so his crew knew where the heads were since we were electing to make the driveway slightly wider and straighten out a bump-out midway up the driveway. ***** told us that was not necessary and that they would move (extend out) any sprinkler heads they came across while removing the grass from the sides to allow room for the new wider driveway. So we authorized the removal of the old driveway and the repaving. With the damp spring and early summer, we did not turn on our sprinkler system until mid July. At this time, we discovered numerous sprinkler heads were covered and water even burbling up in the center of the driveway at the halfway point. I attempted to call the company numerous times to have them come do the repairs and the message on the voicemail says "I'm sorry but the person you are calling cannot accept calls at this time". I have emailed them twice since July 5 with no reply. They are either avoiding their customers, or gone out of business although their website is still active. We need to get these sprinkler heads moved/repaired and Nova Paving & Construction needs to do it or pay for it to get done.

  ****** (*****) ****** (or so the caller id says) came to my door soliciting pavement work. Claiming to have done other work in the neighborhood. He quoted me $1500 to blow off (clean) my driveway, fill major cracks, and sealcoat with a 5 year guarantee. I accepted and a day or two later he was out with a crew. They filled maybe 25% of the cracks and applied an uneven coat of sealer, my driveway looks striped. They did not remove all dirt and debris, but just partially coated over it, and blatantly missed entire sections. When the product was wet I could not walk on it or tell the spots were missed, and when I asked about the unfilled cracks he claimed the product would "expand" to fill them. That was a ruse to get me to pay, a check which he had me make out to another person, *************************, who was supposedly his supplier. The following day I sent him pictures of the cracks and missed spots and he said he would come back out and make it right. He told me he would come by several times and failed to show. He did finally show back up and filled some more of the cracks with sand, but because he didn't seal them afterward the rain washed it away the next day. I have repeatedly asked he come back out and refill the cracks and even out the seal coat and he is claiming he has done everything he can and will not return any portion of my money. At this point I don't trust him to do it correctly, and I wonder if he is even a legitimate contractor, I just want my money back, or at least most of it.
