            I had a 45 minute appointment scheduled on January 15, 2024.I had an alarm set for my appointment but missed it and logged on around 11:40am, still within my appointment time. I called and explained I was waiting and still available and it was in the window of my appointment still. I was told they wait 7 minutes and cancel if you dont show up. They make you wait 30+ minutes for them sometimes without any call at all before suddenly canceling, but only offer 7 minutes of their time. Ive asked before for them to call me if Im not on so I can get in; I was told they have too many patients for that and its our responsibility. I would say that first, I have diagnosed narcolepsy with memory issues and asking for a call sounds quite reasonable if Ive forgotten especially due to a disability, second, lots of doctors offices call if you dont show up to see if youre coming, yet the one for psychiatric things and counseling doesnt call at all. You could be dead or in a bad situation and they wouldnt know because youre just a paycheck not a human patient theyre treating and should call to check on if youve missed a psychiatric appointment. If a regular doctors office does it, theres no excuse for not caring enough about patients to do the same thing especially for psych patients. It also took 3 messages and twice verbalizing need for a before I was told to fill out an intake online which was asking me for another email for each of my kids which I dont have and dont intend to create just to get an appointment. I like my psychiatrist, but the assistants make me feel like a number and not a person, and as the gate keepers to the providers then they should be treating people like people when considering things. The policies of this place are designed to benefit the company if they refuse to call if you miss your appointment time which is something other places do, and it makes me want to stop going and find a new place that cares more.
