I signed up for the unlimited membership at the end of January, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to move in February. I immediately called the gym to cancel my membership, but no one answered the phone on February 26, 2023. When I called again a day later, I was told to email ***************************************** to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, I did not receive a reply to my email, so I called the gym again to request a cancellation. However, the lady, ******, who answered the phone was very pushy and rude with me. Her attitude had been the same in person as well during the interactions I had with her. ****** told me that she could not push my cancellation through a day earlier when she had done the same with my friend, who had signed up with me on the same day and time. Please view the screenshot below of my friend's request and the response she got from Title Boxing while I didn't even get a response from ******. To make matters worse, I recently discovered that I was charged again for the membership on my credit card statement. This is not fair as I had paid for two extra months that I did not step into the gym for. As you can see on the attached screenshot, I called to request the same courtesy that was extended to my friend, but I was met with resistance, bias, and poor customer service. ****** was racially discriminating towards me. It was obvious in person and it was undeniable after she did not do the same for me as she did for my friend. I would like to remind you that under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it is illegal to discriminate against someone based on race or color in places of public accommodation, such as this gym. Unfortunately, I was treated unfairly solely because of my race. I would like to request a refund for the two months that I did not use the gym due to the circumstances outlined above.
