My wife and I bought a vehicle from this dealership. A couple years later when we wanted to trade in our vehicle, we found out that our vehicle has a recall that Toyota has no clue how to fix and cant give a time of when they will have a remedy for the issue. I called McDonough about this issue due to us not being able to trade or sale our vehicle for a reasonable price and was basically told well too bad. I buy a vehicle every year and most dealerships are more than willing to help you out with a bad purchase from their lot. McDonough however couldn’t care less and said, “well if we had your van we would have the same issue”. I guess the GM doesn’t know the difference between dealership expectations and customer expectations. I highly recommend not buying from McDonough Toyota. Even as we bought a very expensive 7 year, 100K bumper to bumper + electronic warranty from McDonough, it does no good and is a huge waste of money if McDonough refuses to work with you on a dud they sold you and cannot fix your vehicle.

Mr. ******, During the mask mandate in 2020, we offered masks to all our customers. You refused the mask; therefore, we delivered your vehicle outside the dealership. We sold you a new vehicle 12/28/2020 the interim recall was released 12/20/2023. Even with the recall and an accident reported on your Carfax you were offered KBB good condition price for the vehicle and you refused it. There is no remedy for the recall as of this date. Our understanding from Toyota is the vehicles that are registered in Georgia will start receiving remedy notifications 12/2024. Please understand that this is a factory recall, McDonough Toyota is not at fault, and has no control over the recall.
