I have called text and emailed Bryce Bettes, Richard ******* and Nick ******* and no one has call me back. This project has been going on for 6 months. I need some help to please. I called Alpha Foundation in June **** to address a crack in my living room. They charged me $******** for work on my concrete block home, but I noticed new cracks shortly afterward outside. When I texted the salesman photos of these cracks, he dismissed them as cosmetic issues caused by the lift. Since then, the crack has worsened, and the crack in the living room is now nearly three times bigger. I have multiple cracks throughout the inside of my home and outside where they did work. There are gaps under my carpet because the floor is separating, and there is a line on the wall where my floor is separating that goes from the ceiling to the floor, and the walls are beginning to separate from the ceiling where one of the lifts was done. I had an inspector from the company come out on December 10, 2024. He took measurements in the house, and then he went into the crawlspace. He confirmed that their work was causing these new cracks and the outside needed to be adjusted. He promised to schedule a contractor to correct the lift, but by December 16, 2024, I had received no updates. I called and asked if the inspector scheduled the appointment the customer rep. said no. He asked who came out. I gave him his name, and he said he was going to call him and call me back. He never called back. Doing business with them was a waste of money. My foundation would have been better off if I had not called them. They did more damage than good.Business response

We signed the contract in 6/26/2024, expecting the work to commence in September. The job was delayed till 12/11/2024. The crew came and removed the dry wall on the first day. On the third day, the supposed last day of the job, the crew informed us that we would have to remove the sewer pipe completely so they can continue the work, which should have been communicated the first day they discovered the position of the sewer line. Not to mention the potential of such outcome should have been included in the contract as the location of the sewer line was measured and included in the job drawing. The foremen promised if we could find the plumber, the crew can finish the job, at least the portion they need more clearance from the pipe. We scrambled to fine a plumber to come out the week before Xmas. ($****** * ******) First day of the construction, only two workers showed up instead of five. They showed up, by their own admission, with limited supply and tools. They cleared out some ground water from the holes they dug out. Then they wrapped up and proceed to leave claiming they encountered power supply issue. Upon further inquiry, we found out they are using multiple power tools via the same outlet. I then pleaded for them to try using different outlets that don't share the same circuit. I explained the urgency of this job. The crew, Paul, assured the job would be completed the next day and then proceed to leave. The next day, a sole crew member showed up an hour before the scheduled time. The crew member explained that he would have to leave the job site early today for personal engagement. Upon further questioning, the aforementioned crew member stated that the job would not be completed the day. We implored the team member to communicate with the foreman to get more clarity on the progress for the project. The crew member proceed to leave and did not respond. Failed to reach the foreman, Dan.Business response

On January 26, 2024 We entered into a contract for Alpha to install a support system under house. The system requires a minimum of 4 cubic feet of aggregate (rock) under each of 8 jacks supporting 4 I-beams. Alpha initially installed approximately one cubic foot of rock under each jack. They refused to provide digital proof of their work. Many attempts to communicate with them went unanswered. I finally rescinded a credit card payment to get them to respond after which they sent a representative to confirm the initial work was not done properly. They had their engineer write an "Engineering Letter of Completion (LOC)" in order for the Building Department to give them a final inspection. I consulted with another engineer who confirmed the specs were not followed. They sent staff back who came back to add approximately 3 cubic feet of rock, still insufficient according to their own engineering specifications. Approximately 2 weeks after this, I personally crawled under the house to inspect the work and found the jack closest to the front door was extremely loose and informed them in writing. On December 13th, 2024 I had a termite inspector check the jacks while he was under the house and he found and documented several loose jacks. 3 out of 4 I-Beams are not supporting anything. Simple math indicates that 4 cubic feet per 8 supports requires 32 cubic feet of rock. There is approximately 1/2 cubic foot per bag of rock they use per **** ** **** ***** ***** ******** official. A minimum of 64 bags of rock are required. A maximum of 22 bags (16 initially, 6 more added) were installed. I am requesting the areas at each jack re excavated and the proper amount of rock installed and the jacks be installed to the minimum specifications of the manufacturer. I am concerned that the sub-standard work I received is standard operating procedure for this company, which the public should be aware of and have similar work checked by an independent third party. The work was done in July or August of 2024. The salesman suggested I do half of my basement with the waterproofing. My only issue was one crack in the wall that leaked two times because of an issue with my gutter that I found out later. They charged me approx. ******* for the total bill. The workers and salesman asked me several times what would be my biggest concern with this job. I told them professionalism and quality of work at my two major things that I require when hiring somebody. Everybody I have talked to from that company says that those are their 2 biggest areas they strive to provide excellence in. That is not true. The first crew came in and asked me the normal questions. He claimed they do excellent work and that his crew is one of the best. He asked if I wanted plastic over the carpet. I said yes. 2 days later they get done. I inspected everything after it dried. The concrete work was shotty at best. There were cracks everywhere, the new concrete was nowhere near level, and they left a giant mess all over my carpet. They also ripped up the carpet and destroyed it when I asked them to neatly cut it. They destroyed my concrete outside of the house where they ran the pipes through for the sump pump. The wall liner is not flat on the wall. It's falling off in several spots and is crinkled in several spots. It looks terrible. I could've have done better work watching you tube videos. I emailed the company and expressed my concerns. They came out and did the concrete again with the same results. I asked to have the whole thing redone professionally or get a refund to pay someone to fix everything. They denied all of this. Now I'm stuck with a basement in way worse shape than it started out. This whole situation is absurd and I would rather have not fixed the crack than deal with what this company has done to me. I 100% deserve a refund for this. They ruined my house and are avoiding responsibility for it.Business response

The Foundation fixed is debatable. The brick walls are all cracked, mortar missing, huge cracks now. We have been calling to have cracks at least all filled and an answer to why there are huge cracks. They always say they are sending “******** ******* says he is coming never comes to fix job. Leaving messages, they never call back. When we do get someone they lie and say they are sending someone. ****** ****** sold this foundation work said he would personally call if any problems. He said he has plenty of ******** to do side jobs cheap. Never, ever has returned calls. The brick deck looks horrible* ****** sold us a package we probably didn’t need. The deck is basically worse than it ever was. Horrible, swindling company. They call every year, say they will fix mortar never do.Business response

We contracted with ******* *n June to do two projects: stabilize our foundation and level our concrete. From my email correspondence with the Sales Rep, both projects were to be done on Nov. 1. However, I received a text message that the project was to be done Nov. 4th. In speaking with the manager, **** we were able to move to the project to the original date. However, we learned on Nov. 1 that the concrete leveling wasn't to be done until later in the month due to a supply chain issue. Today, Nov. 13th, we had the second crew arrive to do the leveling. After attempting, they said their rig did not work and went back to the shop. They came back and then said again that the rig was not working. We may be scheduled for them to come out again tomorrow and I'm awaiting a call from a manager. Additionally, when we were having a positive experience with ******* we referred a colleague to the company. Per their marketing technique, referrals are supposed to get **** credit and I have asked several times.Business response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the issues and have forwarded them to management. The General Manager informed us that the **** referral bonus has been processed. Customer was upset that he had to be rescheduled a few times due to truck issues. We explained we can't control if the rig goes down and repaired as quickly as possible. He also said he was under the impression that the driveway would lift with no problem. We explained we don't guarantee lift and that we guarantee stabilization. We have made revisions to the contract for discounts to reflect the Stabilization plans.
